To ask what have u done today that most MNters would be 🤯 at?

This is lighthearted but seen lots of threads today about leaving kids alone etc.

Today after a trip out and being exhausted I let my toddler watch TV for about 3 hours!
Whilst my teen had lots of screen time.

I. Also needed some bits at shop and dd was in just a nappy and cba to dress her. So I let my teen (13) sit with her with her whist I ran over.. The shop is in sight..

Im getting take away for the 2nd night in a row.
Both kids have had a fair amount of junk.. Crisps. Cheddars. Cake 2 ice creams and ice lolly.

And I've used my washing machine for such small loads. And re washed the bedding that was washed Tuesday. Because wanted to get as much as I can done and dried before the weekend and dp being off next week to have family time..
And when it cools down I'm going to iron it all lol.

We have been to a paddli g pool 1st thing and local park this eve.

It is like winter here in Cork, Ireland. Been very wet and cold and humid. Hate it as this weather gives me headaches, makes me tired and gives me sinusitis.

Oh and have a glass of rose on the go and eaten 3 lindors .....but they were so cold and lovely from the fridge and I have a ton of ice in the Rose .

I did the ironing today, I know, I know bloody mental but thought I’m bloody roasting anyway I might as well get the ironing done.

Went to work all day in a nice air conditioned office and ate a magnum 🤤
At my break time Iegged it to Sainsbury and bought beer and g & t pre made
Friend and I sat in the sun at lunch time whilst swigging beer/gin cos we could lol
Then back to work to cool down

I feel like I have been quite MNetty by the sound of it sitting in front of a fan eating lollies and have actually done my drying outside for once.

I’m now sat with my legs akimbo on the sofa with a fan blowing up my dress ahhhhhhh

Spent a stupid amount of time opening fridge, starting into it for about 30 seconds letting hot air in, and then closing it again because nothing took my fancy

Washed my guinea pigs' dirty fleece bedding with my teen sons stinky socks and jeans! He was out and didn't know!

Got both kids a Greggs sausage roll for tea...am on course for drinking a bottle of wine tonight... I got sunburnt... I changed a pooey nappy in public (on the beach)... I let my toddler have a paddle stark naked... had a screaming sweary row with my husband in the car whilst the kids were in the back...both were in forward facing car seats... and I got on lovely with my mother in law..

Ran out of juice for breakfast so poured two large glasses of coke(zero)for DC.
Prepared a fruit salad for DC after my guilt around the coke for breakfast and a lecture on health (me to them)they then caught me with a spoon and jar of chocolate spread

Didn't take the dogs out for a walk because they are big and hot and panting a lot.

Stuck the washing in the tumble drier because I couldn't be arsed to stand out in the sun

Spent all day sat on my arse reading because I don't like the heat

Couldn't be arsed to cook so got us all a takeaway

Let my 15 year old nephew have a can of lager

Drank a lot more than a thimble of sherry (sister and I put a massive dent in the new bottle of gin)

Fed the big overheated dogs frozen natural yoghurt and orange lollipops

If we all lived in actual hot countries would we be doing these things all the time? Driving with our skirts over the steering wheel, and sitting around at home with our boobs out?

SO PLEASED other people have had takeaways! I had pizza and was feeling v guilty after that other thread where no one was eating as it’s hot! I was more just way too lazy to summon energy to cook for myself.

Ordered a dominos pizza bang on when they opened ( it arrived 11:45) had been up since 6 am with baby ( well from 330 AM very broken sleep) so was starving . Had : muffin for breakfast, pizza for lunch and a McFlurry for dinner. Ps I am a healthcare professional and aware this is unhealthy

I can now add 2 packets of salt and vinegar crisps to the list. I'm blaming the heat for salt loss and needing to replace it.

Ds 5 has had as much screen time as he wants,I had 4 beers in the afternoon and we've been snacking on shortbread all day

Oh and another one, wore nude tights to work. The aircon is set to 18 degrees so it's freezing so I can't go in bare legs or wear black tights on the hottest day of the year.

All me and my daughter have done is eat junk and watch films dp is in bed as he works nights, so we did the same again tonight!

Have been in a lovely air conditioned office all day, then a lovely air conditioned car.

Got home to a sweaty DH and two sweaty DC so we had a Chinese takeaway for dinner. Kids have only just gone to bed (they're 2 and 8).

Have got chocolate and jelly babies to eat this evening.

Sitting in the living room wearing not very much clothing, with a fan that thinks it's a jet engine.

I did a six hour round trip in a car to attend a two hour meeting for work. FML

I ate the whole watermelon, in the space of 15mins.
Felt like i was pregnant again!
