To ask what have u done today that most MNters would be 🤯 at?

This is lighthearted but seen lots of threads today about leaving kids alone etc.

Today after a trip out and being exhausted I let my toddler watch TV for about 3 hours!
Whilst my teen had lots of screen time.

I. Also needed some bits at shop and dd was in just a nappy and cba to dress her. So I let my teen (13) sit with her with her whist I ran over.. The shop is in sight..

Im getting take away for the 2nd night in a row.
Both kids have had a fair amount of junk.. Crisps. Cheddars. Cake 2 ice creams and ice lolly.

And I've used my washing machine for such small loads. And re washed the bedding that was washed Tuesday. Because wanted to get as much as I can done and dried before the weekend and dp being off next week to have family time..
And when it cools down I'm going to iron it all lol.

We have been to a paddli g pool 1st thing and local park this eve.

I used my tumble dryer and a loo brush.
But not at the same time.

Came back home, sat in my car for about 15 minutes longer with the engine running and blissful air con on full power.
I did get out of the car at first but got straight back in again.

Ate three takeaways.

Currently sat on the balcony, naked, chain smoking.

Used a bog brush
Ate hot food at lunch and tea
Let my 4yo eat two ice creams, an ice lolly and an ice pole

I gave my toddler squash for his overnight drink. He only ever has water but he asked and I couldn't be bothered to argue.

I would not meet mumsnet approval any day never mind this one.

Microwaved frozen McCain jacket potatoes for me and DD3 for tea.

Used tumble dryer
Had an ice cream for lunch
Let kids have unlimited screen time

Had 2 magnums

Did get dressed just changed my pjs.

Did have a shower. Now sat in just pair of shorts and no top on. Back door is open but not in my line of sight. Dp seems concerned I might get visitors. I have never had a visitor wall straight in. I am not worried. I have good boobs anyway 😂

As I am typing this dp walked in from the shop with another magnum. Although I have eaten any actual food. Just magnums.

Frozen pizza and oven chips for tea

Washed my guinea pigs' dirty fleece bedding with my teen sons stinky socks and jeans! He was out and didn't know!

I went for a lovely swim at the time kids aren’t allowed in the pool so it was very peaceful and not full of other people’s extremely annoying kids. Meant I couldn’t take my own dd hey ho I offered to but she couldn’t be bothered result

Driven an uninsured car in a rogue African country ... given the circumstances I didn't have much choice but whew that was wild for me

Other than that I forgot to have breakfast and lunch so ended up having four slices of toast at 3pm. It felt like being back at university!

I ate cereal for breakfast and lunch and then loads of carbs for dinner.

Got DH to reheat the quiche for supper on the barbecue as I've turned off the Aga.

Spent the best part of £500 on two days as a summer holiday treat in London. It was DD's first time. She really liked it but Jesus it was a furnace. So proud of how she coped.

I bit off bits of my ice lolly and fed it to my dog. She is a fan of blackcurrent

We are usually quite restrictive with junk food but have had almost exclusively ice creams, lollies, and fruit juice all day until dinner.

I’ve gone through a massive bottle of coke and a whole lemon that I’ve been cutting up and putting in it.

Just back from holiday so have hung out mountains of laundry to get darked on, and to be extra terrible, there was so much of it that it’s draped over scooters, scattered across garden benches, and hung on hangers along the fence as well as normal washing lines. Looks a bit shit but just don’t care!

My kids have been out all day without sunscreen, they have dark skin and have been in and out for drinks etc but no sunscreen at all.

I started drinking wine before kids got in bed, and also put them to bed with damp hair as it’s so hot.

Had curry for dinner instead of salad or ‘picky bits’ and we’re still alive.

Let the kids watch a load of crap on Netflix during and after dinner.

Made a jug of iced sangria all for myself.
Stood outside in the rain when it finally started, even though there was lightning going on as well.

I’m sitting on the sofa in a little cotton nightie with the fan blowing it up. It’s bliss I would add I’m alone at the moment.

I used mine because I only have a roof terrace and it would have meant carrying a drying rack out there, putting it up and then standing out in the heat fiddling around handing all the shorts and t shirts and underwear on it. I just couldn't face it.

Worn my 100% commando dress all day expect to go shopping, put a bit on underneath then but draped it over the steering wheel as I drove to let the air con do its bit, a trick I learned in the US!

Commando here too. DH nearly had a heart attack when I picked up the hem of my dress to clean my glasses. Wish I'd had a camera! Otherwise haven't done much except sit around drinking lemonade although I probably should have done some housework. DH had spag bol for dinner but he cooked it himself. No way was I turning the cooker on. I might have some salad later but so far all I've had is a Magnum and some wafer thin ham.

came home from work at lunchtime to make my two lunch. It's MN law you have to throw them out to fend for themselves once they hit double figures. I've also just washed up all the dishes even though I asked one of them to do it. I went too big on the threat of punishment and I can't be bothered to enforce it.

I live in the U.S. and we have air conditioning so I assume none of you need it the other 362 days of the year. I think eating takeaways, walking around without clothes, opening the fridge/freezer multiple times per day is just sensible.😀
