To ask what have u done today that most MNters would be 🤯 at?

This is lighthearted but seen lots of threads today about leaving kids alone etc.

Today after a trip out and being exhausted I let my toddler watch TV for about 3 hours!
Whilst my teen had lots of screen time.

I. Also needed some bits at shop and dd was in just a nappy and cba to dress her. So I let my teen (13) sit with her with her whist I ran over.. The shop is in sight..

Im getting take away for the 2nd night in a row.
Both kids have had a fair amount of junk.. Crisps. Cheddars. Cake 2 ice creams and ice lolly.

And I've used my washing machine for such small loads. And re washed the bedding that was washed Tuesday. Because wanted to get as much as I can done and dried before the weekend and dp being off next week to have family time..
And when it cools down I'm going to iron it all lol.

We have been to a paddli g pool 1st thing and local park this eve.

I used the tumble dryer three times today because I was doing towel washes and line drying makes them stiff as a board.

Myself and DS1 and DS2 were exhausted after a late night last night so we decided to spend the entire day in bed watching films, pigging out, I'm our pyjamas. It was amazing!

I BBQ in my garden without asking the neighbours first. They do the same and we don't give a fuck. Sometimes people smoke in it, too. Our next door neighbour smokes in her garden and we don't care! She's a lovely person and a great neighbour.

I drive a diesel car.

I keep pets even though it's environmentally awful.

I'd only go vegan if it were forced on me. I like meat and seafood.

I buy clothes in Primark. They're great. I look after them as I do all our clothes and they last a long time.

I go on cruises for holidays. They're fun.

I don't really give a fuck what I weigh. I go by how my clothes fit and how fit I am. I don't care what others weigh, either.

When my kids were younger, DH and I would sometimes drink in their presence. On some occasions we even got kinda drunk.

Just sat eating pesto pasta at 4.30am.

Had a migraine yesterday and was in bed at 4pm, waking only to take more painkillers. Have woken up this morning starving. DH has left my dinner from last night out, so I’ve just eaten it

I got drunk as my friend died. Conked out and woke up freezing cold at 4:40

Overflowing septic tank - weekend. remote, and no available professionals. Spent a couple of fragrant hours in rubber gloves, mask and oldest clothes scraping up shit/loo paper/fatballs and burying it in the most distant corner of the garden. Then liming everything and showering and disinfecting self, burning clothes. Ugh.

Went to Ikea purely for the cafe...hotdogs all round...dinner done!

I read replies, I sometimes think I wonder what the average MN'er actually is like.

When reading replies, usually I picture the stereotypical MN poster as middle class woman in her 30/40's, living in SE England in a modernised Victorian semi. They will have achieved a 2:1 at a red brick university, with a partner/husband who has a decent job.

A tad judgemental I know.

So this thread has been fabulous.

Who the hell can eat take away in this heat?? I am morbidly obese in a self destructive love affair with carbs and all I have eaten in 3 days is a couple of gluten free brioche buns with egg filler as sarnies , iced cashew milk coffee and ice lollies ....fourth day in I have had two GF crumpets as breakfast...at 1.30pm! On the positive side I have lost 6lb (probably fluid and will go back on when tempreture drops)
Spat my coffee out at the person blowing a fan up their knickerless dress Grin

@Booyahkasha - I don't know but it does. If I line dry towels they go all hard and scratchy. If I do them in the tumble dryer they come out all soft and fluffy. Are my towels weird? I assumed all towels did this.

I haven't had a shower for two days, the horror! I have hairy legs and armpits. I also haven't been arsed to change the bedding as doing that on my super king size bed would make me end up in hospital as it takes that long and it's too hot to fanny about getting the duvet cover back on Confused

I went and watched men strip last night and got pulled up on to stage twice 😬 drank lots of Gin and stayed out all night 😁
