To ask what have u done today that most MNters would be 🤯 at?

This is lighthearted but seen lots of threads today about leaving kids alone etc.

Today after a trip out and being exhausted I let my toddler watch TV for about 3 hours!
Whilst my teen had lots of screen time.

I. Also needed some bits at shop and dd was in just a nappy and cba to dress her. So I let my teen (13) sit with her with her whist I ran over.. The shop is in sight..

Im getting take away for the 2nd night in a row.
Both kids have had a fair amount of junk.. Crisps. Cheddars. Cake 2 ice creams and ice lolly.

And I've used my washing machine for such small loads. And re washed the bedding that was washed Tuesday. Because wanted to get as much as I can done and dried before the weekend and dp being off next week to have family time..
And when it cools down I'm going to iron it all lol.

We have been to a paddli g pool 1st thing and local park this eve.

I stayed 4 hours late at work in air conditioned office rather than go home to attic flat

Ha! I used my tumble dryer too

Left teenagers to adore their screens all day while I was at work.

Cycled 32 miles in the heat on the trafficked roads... in a regular cotton shirt (!!). No high tech "wicking" shirt. No sunscreen, Did not drink any water en route, either (just didn't need to).

Also ate usual amount of hot food.

User my tumblr dryer as it was too hot to go outside. Made my DS a fish risotto then threw it in the bin and let him have a babybel and houmous for his tea as he was too hot!
I also took the kids to our local Lido at 7am this morning! They loved it!

Asked for advice on which fabric conditioner to buy

Jesus tumblr dryer is ridiculous and I’m in love with mine usually.
Spent day indoors with air conditioning on. Baked bread and let kids watch tv all day between mooching for popcorn and drinking all the milk. I love the school holidays .

I’ve been to 3 different fast food places to pick up tea for my family tonight purely because it’s too hot and I didn’t want to cook and I’m low on patience after a day at work and taking my youngest to her swimming lesson where I felt like I was sitting in a green house! 2 wanted Burger King, 2 wanted kfc and 2 wanted McDonald’s. All 3 are at the local retail park so rather than have to listen to any sulking I just went to them all. I’m now drinking wine on a week night because I’m hot and fed up.

I ate a cookie for breakfast. And I got so hot in the afternoon that I sat in the kitchen in my undies.

I did something I'm quite proud of, I got the courage to not be scared of telling the truth. I won't minimise anything, I don't even know why I spent so long protecting that person.

They've not shown the same courtesy to me.

This has been 12 years in the making.

I turned down an invitation from my boss to “go home early and enjoy the sun”

I stayed late in my air con Office fully knowing I was leaving a sweaty husband with 2 sweaty children at home together.

We don’t all need to be sweaty together do we? Although I darent complain tonight about how hot this house is. He might put me in the tumble dryer!

I’m having a peaceful poo. First time in a long time

Didn't have a shower (WFH).
Didn't wash any towels.
Didn't change the bedding.

Feel quite sad that we don't have a loo brush or I'd have wielded it just to get the full house

My DD (10) had Fruit Shoot and a fry up in a cafe this morning. (But we did have salad made with broad beans that she brought home from school this evening!!).

DS 12 went out at 8:30 this morning, with his phone, door key and £10. He came back in 2 minutes ago. I dont know where he has been or who he has been with but he says he has had a good day.

I took my dd to minor injuries for a grazed finger :-)

Let her and my nephew both aged 4 run around the beach naked.

(she has a benign heart murmur and is on daily meds for issues with her ears and I wanted to be sure she was fine as we are on holiday a long drive from a hospital)

When I picked DS up from nursery, he was just in his shorts (inside). I needed go to the supermarket so I just took him in like that!

Have just dried DDs work uniform in the tumble dryer!!! Shoot me.

Got into shower with nightie on. Because I had no energy to even lift it off. It was really nice :)

Left my kids 14 & 11 at home with their screens while I was at work.

Returned home and sat fully clothed in the paddling pool. Bliss.

Why are you all using tumble dryers when its hot and sunny outside and you can dry your stuff no problem. I understand using them when it’s raining, but.....I don’t understand. Mind you, I don’t own a tumble dryer so maybe that’s why.

Had sex in our hot tub. It’s due to be emptied tomorrow thank goodness!

I’ve also gone commando all day. Tumble drier on three times. Cooked stirfry. DC ate massive Magnums and both had about five hours screen time.
In my defence it’s been too hot to leave the house .
