Bought a teapot on ebay, arrived with an old break very obvious so asked to return. After several abusive emails this was the last one I received after seller had to refund me.

You know what?
Keep the junk as you describe it. I don’t want it back. In my views it’s been contaminated with Englishness. I’m only selling things because I’m leaving this hate filled country, anyway.
My experience with you was another interesting example why this stupid country should not be part of a civilised community of countries. Never do business with the English. Too right, I’m afraid to say.

As gently as possible, it's pretty insulting to people who experience actual real racial hatred and discrimination to compare this with what they go through (by calling it racist). Your reasoning could easily start to sound privileged and ignorant. The person who emailed you may well have experienced some horrible bigotry themselves and is lashing out at you as a result, honestly, as rude as they were, let it go.

It's not racist just Bonkers. You wouldn't be hauled into court if you replaced English with another country. Have you heard some of the stuff Boris Johnson says about the French ? And he still seems to be walking free.

Also, just sounds like someone at the end of their tether. Being a foreigner in this country, I completely understand.

Would be interesting to understand a little more of the backstory too. It sounds as if there were several emails exchanged before it reached this point. Could any of your responses be antagonistic - perhaps the straw breaking the camel's back?

How is it racist? It's abusive to the English, be they black, white, Asian, Chinese, Muslim, Jewish, Christian, Atheist, gay, straight or trans.

In fact, it's a fine example of equality in abuse. They are slagging off all of us who are English.

It's not racist, but it is anti English, possibly even anti British if the person has done that common thing of conflating England with Britain, given you say you are Welsh. It sounds as though they themselves may have been on the receiving end of some xenophobia during their time here, which doesn't excuse their (somewhat OTT) rant but may go some way to explaining it.

Out of interest what do you consider to be abuse as a Welsh woman? The only stereotype I know of is Welsh men from the countryside being sheep-shaggers (which I don't consider to be abusive!)
