Judging other people......

Dropping litter,swearing in every sentence, wearing Pjs in public, Screaming at your children, bun in your hair, huge hoop earrings, jogging bottoms, going to Benidorm, fag hanging out of your mouth, long tallon nails, sun beds, junk food diet,tattoos, fighting in the playground with another parent, excessive drinking, usually lager, sunbathing at the front of your house music blaring,being overweight and dressing inappropriately.I think I've just described where I live, put Shameless on this will give you an idea of what warrants this term.

I'm probably guilty of a lot of these The only things I really consider "common" are antisocial rude behaviour like loud swearing, being obnoxiously drunk, not controlling dogs etc

My grandmother used to say "common" for

Corned beef
Milk bottle on the table
Eating while walking in town, we had to walk to the park with our pasties so we could eat them sitting down.

Calling people common is so very lower middle class darling.

Eating with their mouth open
Licking their knife
Sitting in their garden with neighbours drinking
Swearing at their kids
Wearing sportswear when not at the gym
home bleached hair (yellow)

And off with yourself those pious posters 'offended' We absolutely do judge on behaviours, give yourself a shake.

I can't and wouldn't attempt to define common BUT reading this thread almost made me dizzy as my head shook and nodded at all the definitions.
@HazelBite hit it for me. I have never defined anyone as common but some behaviours mean my inherited 'judging' is triggered

Carrying a whole toilet roll with you in case you need to pee in the woods.

Lack of morals and standards.

Being loud and brash in public, saying the f word in every sentence loudly in public. Actually just any awful behaviour in public that is intended to attract attention.
I think I'm quite common but I don't do any of the above.

According to at least one poster, smoking by the school gates and having private conversations about the morning after pill.

Not knowing what makes a person common.
