In your opinion. Just interested.

Honestly? It’s not money (or lack thereof), or tattoos, or accent imho... for me the people I’d consider “common” are those with bad manners and poor vocabulary

tomtom1999xx · 10/07/2019 20:40

Tattoos ( sorry )

ShakeYourTailFeathers · 10/07/2019 20:41

Are you new? Good luck OP Grin

BogglesGoggles · 10/07/2019 20:41

Using the word ‘common’ Wink

francescadrake · 10/07/2019 20:42

“Common” - as in, garden variety?

formerbabe · 10/07/2019 20:43

Nothing to do with money, class or accent.

Behaviour...
Swearing loudly in the street for example

Teacakeandalatte · 10/07/2019 20:43

They just dance and drink and screw because there's nothing else to do.

TheChain · 10/07/2019 20:43

Using words like “ain’t” or “was” when they mean “were”... “We was driving down the road” shudder

BlueMerchant · 10/07/2019 20:43

Attitude, values and aspirationsConfused

StripeySocks29 · 10/07/2019 20:44

Talking loudly about their personal problems in public places.

MotherofaCat · 10/07/2019 20:45

Well according to the pulp song;
Going to a supermarket and having not money (or at least pretending to)
According to blood:
O+ in the UK
A+ in Europe
In reality 'common' is subjective to many people but I think you are referring to a certain class by using the world common which seems rather ignorant imo

Shmithecat2 · 10/07/2019 20:45

Lack of manners, inconsiderate behaviour.

MotherofaCat · 10/07/2019 20:46

Teacakeandalatte
Love it

MsTSwift · 10/07/2019 20:47

Such an odd old fashioned term not heard anyone under the age of 65 ever use it

EleanorOalike · 10/07/2019 20:47

I’m too classy to say Grin.

Karlwho · 10/07/2019 20:47

Curious, a relative thinks talking t o the neighbours is common, whereas my mil thinks spitting is.
I'm very sweary, but I cringe when I hear someone cussing in public.
Als o when people excessively use the word 'like'.

I have tattoos, l grew up on a council estate in south London, l don't have a degree, my grandparents were so poor as children they didn't have shoes..sometimes l say ain't, when l'm in my natural surroundings..
you can call me common if you like. I'm not too fussed. I'm intelligent, well mannered, l earn a good living. It's all good.

ethelfleda · 10/07/2019 20:48

Hot tub in the garden

BuzzShitbagBobbly · 10/07/2019 20:49

Littering.

Teacakeandalatte · 10/07/2019 20:49

< common fistbump to motherofacat >

origamiunicorn · 10/07/2019 20:49

Shouting and swearing in the street, swearing at their children, pushing a pram with a fab hanging out their mouth, wearing PJs outside the house, sat on a camping chair by your front door in your PJs with a fag in your hand and a can of alcohol in the other, shouting at your children.

...the family down the road.

Karlwho · 10/07/2019 20:50

Am I just totally biz arre to even ask this then lol? Maybe I am ignoran t. Honestly didn 't see any harm in the question.

According to my mum:
Spitting in the street (something my sister picked up at a toddler group on a postwar sink estate in the 1970s).
Soaking up gravy/stew with bread
Drinking tea with a meal

Armadillostoes · 10/07/2019 20:50
