OP posts:

Wearing football shirts and joggers when not watching / attending the game

LemonTT · 10/07/2019 23:07

Not a lot of difference between some of the Common and Upper Class traits. This is not surprising. Judgy pantness is v middle class.

For me it is the insane use of triple+ negatives as in
No, I ain't not done nothing

Bankai · 10/07/2019 23:08

It's funny how some of these examples are completely acceptable in other countries.

heath48 · 10/07/2019 23:08

Tattoos end of.

PooWillyBumBum · 10/07/2019 23:10

Tattoos end of.

Using phrases such as “end of” or “at the end of the day” or peppering every sentence with the word “literally”.

Don’t take it personally, Heath, I’m sure posting on a forum under the moniker of PooWillyBumBum gets me a few points myself!

brotown · 10/07/2019 23:11

Poowilly- I think it’s ok with a picnic, but at a restaurant you have to drink it all up before the food comes !

AdoraBell · 10/07/2019 23:13

When I was growing up in the 70’s eating walking along with considered common.

PooWillyBumBum · 10/07/2019 23:13

Posting about very personal matters on Facebook. You get extra common points if your friends all pile on and say “u ok hun” or “pm me”.

Writing a slurry of indecipherable angry ramblings and ending with “rant over”.

Setting your Facebook work info to “full time mummy”. Worse still on LinkedIn (yes I have witnessed this)

gifdaft · 10/07/2019 23:16

People who say “I done” and “I seen”....

It drives me bonkers and is very commonly used in Glasgow Angry

LadyGAgain · 10/07/2019 23:18

HairyDogsInUnusualPlaces · 10/07/2019 23:18

Not carrying a toilet roll with you, in case you need to pee in the woods,

Greatblue0wl · 10/07/2019 23:19

Requesting visitors take shoes off! My parents made sure slippers were hidden (if we had any) and shoes were on when guests arrived.

ThighsRelief · 10/07/2019 23:22

Liberating an industrial size toilet roll from KFC and carrying it around with you in case you need to pee in the woods.

Ilovemypantry · 10/07/2019 23:22

hmga90
Or people that have time to comment on shit posts.

cuppycakey · 10/07/2019 23:22

Having a home where shoes are worn indoors Grin

recklessruby · 10/07/2019 23:23

Screaming and swearing in the street.
Swearing at your kids (especially the c word. It makes me cringe).
Boasting loudly about how much money you make.
Going to Sainsbury's/co op etc in pyjamas and dressing gown.
Souped up cars with loud music and catcalling men in them.
My mother would say eating while walking along the street. She has a massive hatred of chewing gum too.

el1zabeth · 10/07/2019 23:25

Owning and displaying any carved wooden or sequined/sparkly words or cheap pictures (usually bought in Home Bargains) telling you to 'eat, bathe, relax, live laugh love, dance like no one is watching, love you to the moon and back' - all very common

SolsticeBabyMaybe · 10/07/2019 23:25

@Teacakeandalatte you beat me to it with the pulp quote :D

sue51 · 10/07/2019 23:29

Pastel coloured loo roll is common. Only white is acceptable.

merlotqueen · 10/07/2019 23:30

Anything which you deem to be from the class you are trying to escape and secretly feel you belong to

ghostofharrenhal · 10/07/2019 23:37

Anyone who buys their own furniture.

Lillieloveisland · 10/07/2019 23:37

Just saying - common as muck

commoner than muck = woodchip. End of [grin}

MoominMantra · 10/07/2019 23:38

What’s the point of a mean thread like this? Hmm

ghostofharrenhal · 10/07/2019 23:41

So people can feel superior I guess @MoominMantra!

cheeseislife8 · 10/07/2019 23:42

Eating a turnip in the cinema.

That's definitely not common round our way
