Aibu to think mumsnet is getting nastier and crueler. When we should be supporting each other or giving well meant advice.
Also what's the worst thing you've ever read on mumsnet?

This is so beyond common on every forum on the internet.

And that proves my point exactly.

The name change function was never intended for things like this. It was intended for posters to be able to discuss personal problems and ask advice. Or to change now and again so that they didn't build up a posting history.

But too many people use it to start goady threads/post controversial threads/start bun fights etc.

It's just cowardly but again, as long as it falls withing MN rather broad guidelines it's fine.
