I am so glad it’s not 37c here as it is in Europe. I love this weather, 22c is enough for me. My husbands moaning we haven’t had a summer, I love this weather, I can sleep at night, I can go to work without getting all sweaty, I can walk my dogs without worrying of them dying of heat stroke. Anyone else like this weather?

However we have an old house and have at last mastered shutters, windows etc. I go around hissing at careless D.C.'s " light is the enemy". When I go home to the U.K., and temps climb above 25, I find it equally uncomfortable as houses are not adapted to hot weather.

38° here in Normandy. Two years ago we had aircon installed in our bedroom and it is wonderful. The rest of the house is fine with shutters.

Sobering reading. But if this is the future, what can we do?

32 degrees here in the West Midlands today, feels nice though as there is a breeze so it’s not awful. I think this is about much heat wave as we are going to get!

Hotterthanahotthing · 29/06/2019 16:39

Its hot but clouding here,West Midlands.Im not complaining as last week it was13°.

Still 80 here in Yorkshire and 8pm!
Loving it though, makes a change from the constant rain we've had lately!

StayAChild · 29/06/2019 20:13

Don't speak too soon Roses Yorkshire here and it's just done a few big spots of rain.

PeoniesarePink · 29/06/2019 20:15

DH was at work today and his car read 39c when he left at 4pm. I spent a lovely afternoon in the garden with my grandson - both sat on chairs with our feet in the paddling pool!

It's cooling slightly thank goodness, and a bit of a breeze appearing.

cuppycakey · 29/06/2019 20:18

27 degrees here today, South Coast. Perfect weather. Just nicely warm enough to take my cardie off. Grin

We're in Germany. No aircon and currently no blinds downstairs due to renovation. However, it's fine. We've got the large paddling pool out and DS is loving it.
Summer holidays have started but for most of last week, I only opened the windows in my classroom in the morning, then put blinds down and had two fans going. It was surprisingly pleasant and the kids didn't mind.
I'm actually a bit disappointed that temperatures are going back down to about 22-25 degrees next week.
