Things that make you shudder

I cannot stand people breathing on me. Not just breathing whilst having a conversation, I mean like DP breathing on my neck/arm/shoulder whatever in bed.

I love him but I have to make him turn over or put a pillow in between us if I can feel it. It makes me squirm.

My belly button is another. I can't touch or look at it without recoiling. There's nothing wrong with it, I just can't stand the thought of it!

Does anyone else have something that makes them feel like this?

Non- solid egg in any form.

Bezalelle · 13/06/2019 08:57

Dirt under fingernails. It sends a sort of primeval shiver right through me. Likewise long, unpainted fingernails - on either blokes or lasses. Brrrr.

Charley34 · 13/06/2019 08:57

Ooh belly button too makes me gag!

Anarchyshake · 13/06/2019 09:33

Mayonnaise. It seems to be everywhere.

Nails on chalkboard/walls. Forks scraping plates. My dp has had to dramatically change his eating habits to ensure I don’t leave him every time we have dinner.

katmarie · 14/06/2019 09:08

Anyone touching my collarbone. Also due to nerve damage I have a numb spot on my leg, cant bear anyone touching it, also cant stand shaving that bit of my leg either. Horrible.

BlueMerchant · 14/06/2019 09:09

Looking at teeth.

Ellabella989 · 14/06/2019 09:10

The feel of velvet or cotton wool.

Hearing people blow their nose (especially in a confined space like on a bus).

Bobbindobbin · 14/06/2019 09:11

Sniffing. Blow you bloody nose.

Fuzzyend · 14/06/2019 09:13

Endless sniffing.
Clutter on kitchen work surfaces.
tatto

Fuzzyend · 14/06/2019 09:14

Eh? what happened there? I hadn't finished what was going to be a substantial list.....

Drogosnextwife · 14/06/2019 09:15

Driving over dead animals on the road, I shudder every single time.
The sound of other people brushing their teeth.
People breathing on me.

AlyssasBackRolls · 14/06/2019 09:17

Scraping a yoghurt pot. Crunching apple. I'm not funny about all eating noises, just those!

Drogosnextwife · 14/06/2019 09:18

Oh and the feeling of velver and velour. When I was younger my mum and dad had a car that had velour seats, I used to dread going in that bloody car, was so happy when they got a new one.

missmouse101 · 14/06/2019 09:18

Dirty coats (esp on childen-FGS they're not hard to wash.) Dirty caps on old men, eurgh. Long dirty nails. Houses where a window is never opened. Clutter everywhere. Dogs licking my toes whilst wearing sandals. Aaarrgh!

Dogparty · 14/06/2019 09:19

Cockroaches make me shudder. I don’t mind spiders or other insects but cockroaches just disgust me!

Being called sweetheart or love by a stranger
The word lush
Loudly chewing food

Sosososotired · 14/06/2019 09:27

Almost forgot, kisses on cheek when saying hello and goodbye.

SerenDippitty · 14/06/2019 09:28

The skin on hot milk.

FudgeBrownie2019 · 14/06/2019 09:32

The word "babe" makes me squirm from strangers and from people I know.

Even the thought of someone licking a foil yoghurt pot lid makes me clench.

And yes to whoever mentioned dirty fingernails. A woman I know always has dirty nails and I would starve before eating food she's prepared because of those nails.
