Because I forgot. :(

I’m the opposite, it will come up on the news that someone has died and I often think ‘didn’t they die ages ago’

WhiteRedRose · 10/06/2019 19:19

Alan Rickman. It breaks my heart every time.

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 10/06/2019 19:21

It’s the ones who stupidly died as a result of drugs that make me quite sad. Of course illness or accidents are deeply sad but accidental overdoses... I’m thinking of Tom Petty and Carrie Fisher here.

Biancadelrioisback · 10/06/2019 19:23

Alan Rickman and David Bowie

Walkamileinmyshoesbeforeujudge · 10/06/2019 19:23

notanotherfucker · 10/06/2019 19:26

Victoria Wood is dead?!?!

BallsOfFlour · 10/06/2019 19:27

Jeremy Beadle is dead.

notanotherfucker · 10/06/2019 19:29

Jeremy beadle is dead too?!?!

GottaGetUp · 10/06/2019 19:29

This is a hard thread to contribute to, as surely you’d have to remember that someone was dead in order to say that you usually forget 😄

But your title made me think of Victoria Wood too

lucymegan · 10/06/2019 19:30

Whitney Houston. Was in the car the other day singing and dancing along to I'm every woman, then in the middle of the song I remembered she was dead and I shed a little tear 😩 she's been my icon since I was 4 😢

LutherVandrossIsDeadAndGay · 10/06/2019 19:36

Name-changed because if my friend is on here it’s SO obvious who I am!

As my user name suggests Luther Vandross is my contribution here.

I was round at my friend’s house years ago and she was telling me how Luther never publicly came out but it was widely known he was gay. I was all Shock but then she casually dropped in the fact that he was also dead! Since that night it’s been a ripple effect of me telling that story and without fail someone saying that they didn’t realise he was dead. Poor old Luther.

Laiste · 10/06/2019 19:37

Rik Mayall.

I'm not one for mooning over celebs or stars but for some reason i can't get my head around this one.

Bottom gets mentioned a lot in our house as we have 5 early 20 somethings knocking about who love it and quote it all the time. Every.single.time i laugh .... and then about 10 mins later remember that Rik Mayall is dead and feel sad about it :(

topcat2014 · 10/06/2019 19:37

Cilla Black!

bebeboeuf · 10/06/2019 19:38

Stravapalava · 10/06/2019 19:39

Dale Winton!

Beebeezed · 10/06/2019 19:39

Brittanny Murphy and Verne Troyer

Meandyouandyouandme · 10/06/2019 19:41

I think Victoria Wood died the day before Prince so she was somewhat overshadowed. Very sad about both of them, far too young.

LoveMySituation · 10/06/2019 19:41

Fekko Tom Petty died of a massive heart attack iirc, drugs not involved

BasinHaircut · 10/06/2019 19:42

Yep was just thinking of Rik Mayall yesterday and had forgotten he was dead and got all sad all over again.

WoollyMollyMonkey · 10/06/2019 19:42

I thought Bill Nighy was dead but my friend said he wasn’t. I think I’m mixing him up with Alan Rickman 😢 oops

BasinHaircut · 10/06/2019 19:42

Dale Winton??!?!

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 10/06/2019 19:43

Oh just looked it up - it was an overdose of pain killers - like Prince!

TacoFlavouredKisses · 10/06/2019 19:44

For some reason one of the top read stories on the BBC news site today was that Gene Wilder had died and I was all "noooooo"... Before opening the page and realising I'd already mourned this three years ago Sad
