Because I forgot. :(

OP posts:
LadyRannaldini · 10/06/2019 22:16

I watch Victoria Wood every Monday at work! Had Dinnerladies today from 10-3!! Makes my week tbh..

Unless sperm can get through a sash window, gets me hysterical everytime. I don't think anyone has written as well for TV and her timing was superb.

TwistinMyMelon · 10/06/2019 22:20

Keith chegwin?! Are you sure?!

PissOffPeppa · 10/06/2019 22:20

Sorry, meant the other chap! Armstrong!

Alexander Armstrong? Also not dead!

TwistinMyMelon · 10/06/2019 22:22

@Soulsista14 no Barrymore was not dead, it was that unfortunate bloke in his swimming pool...

TwistinMyMelon · 10/06/2019 22:23

It was the year my brother died. 😕

DpWm · 10/06/2019 22:23

Not forgotten, but I had a weird thing about Freddie Mercury this morning, playing "We will Rock You" to my 4yo son, who loves the rythm of those drums in that song...
I thought "aw, poor Freddie Mercury died" and was compelled to look up his bio on Wiki.

He died in 1991 Shock I thought it was like, 2008 or a something. I honestly thought he died when I was a grown adult not way back in 1991.

That was weird.

TheJoxter · 10/06/2019 22:24

Alan Rickman and Rik Mayall for me too. Mostly Alan Rickman though. DS has just started watching Harry Potter and it breaks my heart every time I remember.

SunnyGirl12 · 10/06/2019 22:24

It's because 2016 was such an onslaught of celebrity deaths...
Gene Wilder
Pete Burns
Leonard Cohen
Prince

John Hurt 2017

Toothlessismyspiritanimal · 10/06/2019 22:30

Alexander o'neal isn't dead, nor is Richard osman or Alexander Armstrong Confused

lotusbell · 10/06/2019 22:34

Going off on a tangent her, but I remember being at a festival in the late 90s and hearing a rumour that (of all people) Jimmy Saville had died. I subsequently discovered that it's a weird festival tradition that such rumours are started, not sure why or if it is true?! Maybe because people were usually out of touch with the 'outside' world, not like now where we can be connected instantly!

I’d forgotten about Gene Wilder. So absolutely loved him as Willy

I found George Michael’s death really hard to get my head around. I’ve no idea why; I just couldn’t believe it. All the stories about how generous and kind he was that came out after his death just made it so much sadder.

rubberduckyyouretheone · 10/06/2019 22:51

Keith Harris. Was a big fan as a child.

namynom · 10/06/2019 22:55

Alan Rickman for me as well. Sounds very woo but it just doesn’t feel like he’s gone from the world!

lampshine · 10/06/2019 22:56

Thought this was going to be a post about physics. Got all excited!

Tillygetsit · 10/06/2019 22:57

Wait.. what?!? Jeremy Hardy's dead??? Gonna have to google that. How very sad. The most gut wrenching for me was Bowie but I never forget he's dead just well up when I hear him. Only managed to listen to Black Star once and I was a sodden mess.

tobee · 10/06/2019 22:58

Also isn't the expression "cark it" not "cork it" re previous post about Prince "not dead" Philip?

augustusglupe · 10/06/2019 23:01

Keith Chegwin

Yes Victoria Wood died April 20th.
Prince on the 21st, I was driving home and heard it on the radio, I cried for weeks!!

noworklifebalance · 10/06/2019 23:01

Oh the actress that played Alice from Vicar of Dibley - too young; as was the red head from four wedding & a funeral.

Meatbadger · 10/06/2019 23:04

Charlotte Coleman

PepsiLola · 10/06/2019 23:10

There was an advertisement that Glee is going to be on Netflix, and it made me remember that two of the Male actors from that show are now dead.

Caroline aherne is one that shocks me time and time again, I grew up watching the fast show and the royal family

TherealLadyMiche · 10/06/2019 23:14

John Candy. Fantastic actor. Uncle Buck - such a funny film.

SmellbowSmellbow123 · 10/06/2019 23:17

Holy shit - Dale Winton and Cheggers??

Patrick Swayze today after listening to his song from Dirty Dancing 🥺
