I have no idea if this is typical but he just tweeted that London isn't an English city any more
What is it then pray tell? What's not English about it??

Oh, and terrorism in London was a million times worse than it is now.

Hahahahahahaha!

IsabellaLinton · 06/06/2019 22:15

I fart in your general direction! Your mother was a hamster and your father smelt of elderberries!

CatherineOfAragonsPrayerBook · 06/06/2019 22:16

people being too obsessed with other people's povs, the pitifuls and obsession of social media of today, people used to actually mingle and talk to each other, and they had decent tv and music

Yes to most of this. Especially the tolerance for other peoples POV.

I don't remember young school children killing each other every other week.

Music wasn't always about p and how to get it at least ot wasn't so overt.

thesunwillout · 06/06/2019 22:20

Blessed are the cheese (Cleese) makers.

IsabellaLinton 😉

Zipee · 06/06/2019 22:21

But this is a thread about someone's POV posted on social media?

People used to be fsr more judgemental about others for things we don't bat an eyelid at now.

BertrandRussell · 06/06/2019 22:22

“Oh, and terrorism in London was a million times worse than it is now.

Hahahahahahaha!“

Yep, Hysterically funny, You have heard of the IRA, haven’t you? Or isn't It terrorism if white people do it?

IsabellaLinton · 06/06/2019 22:23

the sun

Do you know, I was sitting in the public library on Thurmon Street just now, skimming through 'Rogue Herries' by Hugh Walpole and I suddenly came over all peckish!

IsabellaLinton · 06/06/2019 22:25

But this is a thread about someone's POV posted on social media?

Why do you give a shit what he thinks? After all, he’s privileged and white and a man so in your mind, his opinions mean diddly squat!

IsabellaLinton · 06/06/2019 22:27

Yep, Hysterically funny

Because it’s sheer unadulterated nonsense. Although I like hearing nonsense better from John Cleese if I’m honest.

thesunwillout · 06/06/2019 22:28

Stop that it's silly!

IsabellaLinton · 06/06/2019 22:28

Well, stout yeoman, four ounces of Caerphilly, if you please!

Zipee · 06/06/2019 22:30

My point about him being privileged is that because of his privileges he will remember things differently to many others.

Its a valid point.

IsabellaLinton · 06/06/2019 22:31

Now it's just got SILLY!

IsabellaLinton · 06/06/2019 22:35

Its a valid point

No, it’s nonsense. Everyone remembers everything differently to everyone else on earth. So what..... we should all cease having an opinion on anything?

IsabellaLinton · 06/06/2019 22:36

Well, how about a little Red Leicester?

IsabellaLinton · 06/06/2019 22:37

How are you on Tilsit?

IsabellaLinton · 06/06/2019 22:38

Brie, Roquefort, Pont-l'Eveque, Port Salut, Savoyard, Saint-Paulin, Carre-de-L'Est, Boursin, Bresse Bleu, Perle de Champagne?

IsabellaLinton · 06/06/2019 22:39

Camembert, perhaps?

Zipee · 06/06/2019 22:39

Not at all, but its a perfectly legitimate criticism that someone who benefited from priveleges as John Cleese did, will remember things differently because of them, so its valid to point that out.

You can have an opinion, doesn't mean you are right.

BertrandRussell · 06/06/2019 22:40

@IsabellaLinton Still laughing?

IsabellaLinton · 06/06/2019 22:42

Not at all, but its a perfectly legitimate criticism that someone who benefited from priveleges as John Cleese did, will remember things differently because of them

Again, so what? He’s expressing his opinion and his recollections - what do you expect him to do, express other people’s?

IsabellaLinton · 06/06/2019 22:43

@BertrandRussell

At John Cleese, yes! Grin

IsabellaLinton · 06/06/2019 22:43

He’s not the Messiah, he’s a very naughty boy!
