And if so, how will you vote?
I want to vote tactically against the Brexit Party so I am thinking LibDems. But knowing mn and it’s very politically engaged (not to mention intelligent) posters, I thought I would put this out there Wink

Yes, of course. SNP.

CarolinaChina · 20/05/2019 20:39

Yes and SNP. DH lifelong Labour, thinking about SNP for first time ever.

APurpleSquirrel · 20/05/2019 20:40

I'll be voting either Green or LibDem.

Found this explanation of the voting system helpful, explains why Remainvoter is suggesting going for another Remain party if one is already secured, though as others say that won't be the case if everyone switches their vote too.

ethelfleda - The trouble with politicians is that whatever the final result, Farage, Cable, Sturgeon, Bartley and Berry will all be claiming "victory", and Corbyn, May and others could be claiming "temporary blips" and "better than expected".

Redwinestillfine · 20/05/2019 20:41

Lib Dems. Best way to send the message.

ethelfleda · 20/05/2019 20:42

That is very true Smile

Of course I'm going to vote. I shall vote either LibDem or Green, although I'm not entirely sure which yet.

Kittykatmacbill · 20/05/2019 20:44

Either snp or green. Can’t decide, suspect I will be staring at the ballot paper on Thursday morning trying to decide!

YouWhoNeverArrived · 20/05/2019 20:45

I'm in West Midlands too. I'm a card-carrying Labour Party member, though I've been thinking of leaving for a while as I'm struggling with Corbyn. For the first time in my life, I'm going to vote for a party other than Labour, because of their stance on Brexit. I'll vote either Lib Dem or Green.

hammeringinmyhead · 20/05/2019 20:46

Already postal voted Green as I did last time an we managed to get Molly Cato in.

BoreOfWhabylon · 20/05/2019 20:57

I'm usually a Labour voter but I want to vote for a remain party, so I'll be voting Lib Dem.

Of course, as a non-man, I'll be holding my nose to do so.

roses2 · 20/05/2019 22:11

Wow, so many people here voting either Lib Dem or Green - I am impressed! I was leaning towards Green also although the website posted earlier says Lib Dem and Green already has safe seats and it is recommending Change party.

SmiledWithTheRisingSun · 20/05/2019 22:13

The link will tell you which parties in your constituency are backing a fresh vote:

pourmeanotherglass · 20/05/2019 22:14

Voted green by post

GinUnicorn · 20/05/2019 22:17

Lib dem

Tavannach · 20/05/2019 22:17

the website posted earlier says Lib Dem and Green already has safe seats and it is recommending Change party.

That's the bit to be careful about. Lib Dems and Green are predicted to do well, they don't actually have the seats until they're elected.

NorthernRunner · 20/05/2019 22:18

I’m a long life labour voter.
I live in Diane Abbots constituency and it is a labour safe seat.
However it saddens me to say that I can’t vote for labour on Thursday.
My vote will go to LibDems or ChangeUK.

SinisterBumFacedCat · 20/05/2019 22:19

Lib Dem

maddening · 20/05/2019 22:21

Life long lib dem voter voting lib dem again

AhhhHereItGoes · 20/05/2019 22:43

Semi reluctantly, Lib Dem.

Iamnotagoddess · 20/05/2019 22:51

Green and also voted Green in the local elections although we are in a safe Tory seat here Hmm

I am a lifelong Labour voter Sad

TheRLodger · 20/05/2019 22:52

I’ve already voted for Lib Dem -
Postal vote

Darkbendis · 20/05/2019 22:54

Yes. SNP.

Tattyroro · 20/05/2019 22:55

I voted Lib Dem after consulting one of the tactical voting sites (postal vote). Have since looked at 2 other similar sites (or maybe one of them was the same for with a new algorithm) - one of which suggested I did vote Labour, and the other Green. Wish I'd taken more time to look into how the recommendations were calculated before deciding, but was keen to get my vote posted as touch and go whether it will arrive in time.

WordInYourShellLike · 20/05/2019 22:59

So many people getting behind the Lib Dems... I can never forgive them for enabling the tories to take power in 2010. That was the start of all this horror. Cameron becomes the leader and Clegg is utterly ineffectual (at best). Cameron calls the referendum on leaving the EU in order to try and fix his party (that worked out well). And look where we are now. The Lib Dems have just done it again too, in Carlisle. Backed the Tory and helped them gain control of the Council.

Labour have officially stated that if they get changes to the terrible deal May has put forward, or if there is no general election, then they will back the option of another public vote. And if not Labour, then surely the Greens would be a better option...?
