And if so, how will you vote?
I want to vote tactically against the Brexit Party so I am thinking LibDems. But knowing mn and it’s very politically engaged (not to mention intelligent) posters, I thought I would put this out there Wink

There is a website which sets out for you how best to vote in your region. In my region for example it is saying that lib dems have a safe vote already and so it would be better to vote green. In DM's region it is telling her to vote lib dem.

PaddyF0dder · 20/05/2019 13:07

Yep.

Voting for SNP.

Cloudtree · 20/05/2019 13:07

sansou · 20/05/2019 13:09

Yes, I voted LibDem last time (one of the few).

Cheesed off that the Remain vote will be split.

Cariadne · 20/05/2019 13:10

Yes. Will probably vote labour, but not thrilled at the prospect (despite having until recently been a card carrying member).

JuneFromBethesda · 20/05/2019 13:10

Yes, voting Lib Dem.

5foot5 · 20/05/2019 13:11

Lib Dem

catgirl1976 · 20/05/2019 13:11

I’m going to hold my nose and vote Lib Dem even though they don’t know what a woman. I figure Brexit is an immediate issues whereas we can continue the fight for women’s rights over the longer term. I don’t feel good about it though. I was a long term labour voter but their stance on Brexit, women and JC and momentum have lost me.

mbosnz · 20/05/2019 13:11

LibDem here.

ethelfleda · 20/05/2019 13:11

Interesting cloudtree
I’ve gone on to remainunited.org and nearly every region it suggests voting LibDem apart from Wales and Scotland... unless labour change their stance before Thursday (as they’re currently being treated as pro-Brexit)
Terrified of Farage’s new party gaining so much popularity.

Remain voter and voted Lib Dem via postal vote

Ivestoppedreadingthenews · 20/05/2019 13:12

Yes. I want to send a message. Usually a Labour supporter but lost my vote based on their position on Brexit. Will be voting Lib Dem or green not made my mind up yet.

Cloudtree · 20/05/2019 13:12

I'm east midlands and it says green since lib dem is already safe

steppemum · 20/05/2019 13:12

Thanks for that link cloud
I will definitely be voting, would have said lib dem or green, but according to that site, we have one secure lib dem seat and so we should vote green to try and get another.
I'll go with that.

Sturmundcalm · 20/05/2019 13:12

postal voter in Scotland, voted LibDem.

Ivestoppedreadingthenews · 20/05/2019 13:13

How do I know whether Green or Lib Dem is the best tactical remain vote?

ethelfleda · 20/05/2019 13:13

catgirl
I agree with your sentiment. It’s not great voting for a party you don’t believe in but this is kind of a crisis!

nauseous5000 · 20/05/2019 13:13

Remain voter in Wales voting Plaid Cymru. As pp said, Plaid for welsh remainers, SNP for Scottish and Lib Dem for England remainers. That will limit the number of Brexit party seats the most. I do wish the remain parties could unite for these elections

KissUntilTheyDieOfRabies · 20/05/2019 13:14

We've just moved and have apparently reregistered to vote too late so won't be able to vote this week. Which I'm annoyed about

ethelfleda · 20/05/2019 13:14

I don’t understand this then - I watched a video n YouTube with Gina Miller explaining how voting for Greens would be a wasted vote as it is proportional representation?
I’m in West Midlands.

BelleSausage · 20/05/2019 13:14

Am thinking of Lib Dem. really want to vote Change UK. Will probably vote for them in a general election.

I wish Labour would get on board with standing behind one Remain candidate in each area. The only reason the Brexit Party will do so well is they aren’t splitting the vote.

TrixieFranklin · 20/05/2019 13:14

LibDem. The reason some of the tactical vote sites are suggesting other parties is to counter balance the splitting of the votes after each seat is given.

Sparkles07 · 20/05/2019 13:15

I've voted Lib Dem by postal. First time not voting labour in my life!

BrillyPribble · 20/05/2019 13:16

I'm going to be voting for Change. I think the remain website suggests libdem but Change is the most obvious anti-Brexit party So they get my vote.

ethelfleda · 20/05/2019 13:16

The link cloud has provided suggests greens for my region but the link I posted says LibDems! Gosh, us remainers need to be 100% clear on this!
