I use conditioner to shave my legs, it’s non drying

Schuyler · 12/05/2019 23:10

Only when it’s a full moon and even then, only if the full moon happens to fall on a Friday. Wink

pickletickled · 12/05/2019 23:11

Always!
If I'm just having a quick shower, I'll swoosh shower gel/soapy hands over my legs. Sometimes I'll scrub/exfoliate them.
I can also wash all parts of my back with hands. I don't feel I've been 'cleaned' if I've not washed everywhere with soap.

lboogy · 12/05/2019 23:11

How much time are you saving by not washing your legs arms and feet. I can't believe some people in here Confused

Celebelly · 12/05/2019 23:14

Nope. And in 33 years of life no one has ever commented on my filthy legs. But MN is batshit for competitive cleanliness and people who remove the top layer of their skin twice a day.

CrinolineQueen · 12/05/2019 23:16

When the apocalypse approaches people on MN won't even notice because they'll be too busy arguing on a thread about other people's showering habits.

ScruffGin · 12/05/2019 23:21

Nope,I don't either, never really thought about it before, but I certainly don't have dirty or smelly legs Grin

PurpleFlower1983 · 12/05/2019 23:21

Yes I do, and my feet. I heard lots of people don’t wash their feet in the shower too. I know that water runs down but what about in between toes...

donajimena · 12/05/2019 23:29

No, I wash my back, pits n bits and hair. If I ever have a bath I'll exfoliate everything but I don't have sweaty or oily legs so I figure a shower is sufficient.

Shadow1234 · 12/05/2019 23:30

Yes, and feet too - every day in the shower.

Madein1995 · 12/05/2019 23:32

It depends on how big the shower is! At home I could bend over and wash my legs without getting hair wet. In lodgings I need to turn the shower off to do It. Never bother to wash soap off as water does that naturally

SadOtter · 12/05/2019 23:37

I wash my legs, but then I work with small children, so I frequently have muddy knees, or paint or whatever stickiness was on their hands.

whathaveiforgottentoday · 12/05/2019 23:40

No, just wash sweaty bits really unless i've been out gardening in my shorts and legs are muddy.
I have very dry skin so if I used soap all over every day it would cause all sorts of problems. My legs generally aren't too dirty and just a good wash with water does the job.

GabsAlot · 12/05/2019 23:43

mostly have baths so everythings alread soapy i scrub every now and again

Gizmo79 · 12/05/2019 23:46

Er yes- all over with my loofah type thing. I have bad skin but if I do that then heavy moisturiser then I’m good for at least 12 hours.

whatawolly · 12/05/2019 23:47

The whole point of a shower is to wash your body? Why are people skipping out on washing legs? That's HALF of your body it doesn't make sense. Those who don't wash their legs - Do you do your feet? Your bits? In between your toes and the fold underneath your bum where cheek meets thigh? Do you have dry skin from lack of exfoliating?

cyclingmad · 12/05/2019 23:47

we have sweat glands everywhere, granted you may not visibly sweat on your legs but ewwww in summer when its hot and you feel hot and sticky are there seriously people who don't properly wash their legs even then.....gross

Is this why there are so many smelly people now a days. Don't bother to properly wash their clothes or even wash them regularly or clearly they are not washign themselvesl properly.

An being short I am often unfortauntely squahed up against peoples armpits on packed trains and ewwww im dreading summer already

GarnierBBCream · 12/05/2019 23:54

Of course! YUK!

AlexaAmbidextra · 12/05/2019 23:58

Well so far we’ve had a couple of ‘ewwwws’ but no ‘grim’ or ‘minging’ unless I’ve missed them. Come on MNers. You’re slipping. 😄

AlexaAmbidextra · 12/05/2019 23:58

Oh, there’s a YUK just appeared.

CauliflowerBalti · 13/05/2019 00:00

I can see why you wouldn't.

And yet.

Why wouldn't you?! You're in there, you're wet... I always wash my legs.

cpl24805254 · 13/05/2019 00:00

To those with eczema or dry skin who are washing less because of that - washing with something like oilatum, then using an emollient like eg cetraban or similar straight after the bath will actually improve it. Check out the eczema society, the worse it is the more baths/showers they recommend as the skin abosrbs the emollient much better when damp (and best to use downward strokes - not rubbing it in)

CTRL · 13/05/2019 00:25

I wash everything head to toe

U2HasTheEdge · 13/05/2019 00:34

No. Thighs I do. The rest gets taking care of with the water running down.
