@DSHathawayGivesMeFannyGallops

Vile

Why make such a comment on a joyful occasion ?

Sad person

Lweji · 08/05/2019 14:11

Waiting for conspiracy theories saying it's a doll.

RasberryRoyale · 08/05/2019 14:12

I think Meghan looks good. She just had a baby two days ago!

PugPupsMum · 08/05/2019 14:12

I thought the whole thing was lovely, really beautiful.

They both look beaming with pride and happiness.

Meghan's dress did look a bit uncomfortable but lets be honest, she'll have that dress and those heels kicked off 2 mins after shes back to her privacy. Good for her for showing her realistic post-partum body.

Also lovely of her to thank the public for their well-wishes and support. Seemed really genuine and sincere.

Baby looks gorgeous, I cant wait to find out his name.

MashedSpud · 08/05/2019 14:13

What an unflattering dress they put her in. They both look happy though and the little lad is cute.

goldenchicken · 08/05/2019 14:13

I agree with some posters that there are some horrible nasty vile comments on here. Trying to pass off the nasty toxic insults as 'jokes???' DFOD!

Threads about Meghan Markle sure do bring out the nasty, toxic, jealous, vile, vitriolic individuals on mumsnet, (who clearly hate their lives!) Wink

We should pity them really..........

Theredjellybean · 08/05/2019 14:14

I think she looked lovely and I liked the fact she wore a dress that showed pregnant ladies to not ping back to shape immediately.
Also thought she looked tired, hair slightly less than perfect Kate blow dry and she had less make up on... All exactly how most of us would look if granny was coming to see our first baby..
Like a new happy glowing mummy who has done a bit of a wash and brush up to feel good for visitors..
Good on meghan... Not standing on hospital steps in precarious heels with perfect blow dry.
Plus I think their quiet birth was so much better as someone who works near the private hospitals were slebs and royalty give birth the media circus is a nightmare

ilovesooty · 08/05/2019 14:14

I'd like to see the Royal family abolished when the Queen dies but on a human level I wish them well. Some people will always put the boot in whatever they do.

Peakypolly · 08/05/2019 14:15

I know it is a cliche, but MM is absolutely glowing- the perfect new Mum IMO, and I am no royalist.

PortiaCastis · 08/05/2019 14:15

She looks lovely and the baby is sweet.

But some comments on here are vile

Sagradafamiliar · 08/05/2019 14:15

Parades 2 day old baby in a castle

Well it wasn't going to be in a terraced council estate was it?!

Lots of comments about how she looked uncomfortable. She's just given birth. Stitches, piles, general discomfort? Or maybe uncomfortable because she knows the world is full of beady-eyed tossers ready to over analyse and stick the knife in.

englishdictionary · 08/05/2019 14:15

What panic? The hysteria on here that photo's hadn't been released yet

What a delight you are OP.

Hmm right back at you.

You said 'panic over', it's not unreasonable for anyone to ask what panic you were talking about.

derxa · 08/05/2019 14:17

I wish Harry wouldn't wear grey it doesn't suit him.

Laniakea · 08/05/2019 14:17

Good on meghan... Not standing on hospital steps in precarious heels with perfect blow dry.

????

Standing in a castle in precarious heels with a stylishly messy blow dry?

They should have just released a picture of the baby

I thought that was what they were going to do - that they were just going to have a shoot indoors and release a couple of photos.

GunpowderGelatine · 08/05/2019 14:17

Bless them, deluded fools. "Parenting is great!". Yeah Harry, give it about 12 hours, they all sleep in the first 2 days and they spend 9 months unleashing hell.

I feel they'll cringe looking back on this interview one day. Then again there were some fucking stupid questions from the interviewer. "Who does he look like?" Hmm he looks like a potato FFS

GunpowderGelatine · 08/05/2019 14:18

All newborns look like potatoes (very very cute ones)

EssentialHummus · 08/05/2019 14:18

Congratulations to them both, I hope they’re settling in well to life as a family of three.

As ever, MM cannot do a thing right in the eyes of the media.

goldenchicken · 08/05/2019 14:18

It's such a shame when threads about Meghan get toxic shit posted on them, because you KNOW they will be deleted. Sad

IvanaPee · 08/05/2019 14:18

In fairness what were they going to say??

It was a stupid question!

HBStowe · 08/05/2019 14:19

I feel rather sorry for Meghan, she doesn’t look comfortable at all. Kate set an almost impossible image of perfection after giving birth and everyone will compare whether that is right or wrong.

There’s no ‘whether’ about it - pitting two women against each other to determine which of them looked the most attractive in the hours / days after giving birth is never going to be right, is it? And FWIW, people are raving about Kate now but at the time her weight was also commented on. It really is despicable.

They should have just released a picture of the baby and given mum some recovery time, maybe even just had Harry parading him

If they had, there would have been even more criticism of them for not following tradition / not sharing enough of their lives / Meghan Markle thinking she’s too important / Meghan Markle creating unnecessary fuss and drama by refusing to be seen / speculation that she hadn’t actually given birth because they used a surrogate etc.

There is absolutely no way this couple can do anything at all without being criticised for it - and for Meghan that is doubly true because she’s a woman before you even get to the issue of the racism she faces from some quarters.

Lweji · 08/05/2019 14:20

All newborns look like potatoes

I thought mine looked like ET. Slightly better after a couple of days, though.

LegoPiecesEverywhere · 08/05/2019 14:20

Jesus Gunpowder. They were asked a random question by the press and said it is great.

GunpowderGelatine · 08/05/2019 14:20

Also I'm Confused at people saying Meghan looks awful. She looks fucking amazing! Healthy and happy, like any new mum.

Sagradafamiliar · 08/05/2019 14:20

The interviewer had the usual limited set of questions you'd ask brand new parents. He couldn't very well ask what football team he supports or what his views are on current affairs.
