How many coats do you own?

Including leather jackets, denim jackets, mac, winter, summer coats etc.

(Not counting suit jackets tho)

Starting to think I need to thin out, especially since I just saw a moth in one 😮

One big winter coat
One light coat
One denim jacket

Not many!

Excluding ones used only for horses (they stink and don’t live in the house)-7.
For horses I have 4.

What I need is a lightweight but waterproof casual jacket, but not buying whilst pregnant.

I think I have a problem, I have 2 wardrobes-1 child size with tops and jeans only 3/4 full, 1 double wardrobe, completely full of coats, and I Still want more!!My aim was 20, but because I head for the same styles end up with not enough weather appropriate coats-if I buy more I’m going to overspill into the other wardrobe and all I’ll have are loads of coats and jackets!

A padded jacket inherited from my Mum so its about 15 years old now and isn't quite so warm as it used to be.

A thin jacket that I bought in a charity shop for £5.

Oh blimey, fourteen...

Four waterproof/waxed,
Two playground warm coats
One 'nice' warm coat,
And two biker jackets that are too small 😂.

I have atm 15 coats and jackets but in this rubbish U.K. weather I’m aiming for 20
Unfortunately I spend all of my time looking for coats and jackets, have a wishlist, and it’s going to end up Way above that
I also like handbags-I have to choose which to follow..my winter coat is on its 4th winter and I don’t have a replacement if it wears out , so I’m Always looking at coats, but then I buy leather jackets..

1 warm practical but not very stylish Parker, a denim jacket, a thin waterproof one and a beautiful skirted woollen dress coat. Used to have more but realised they were just taking up a whole wardrobe and I rarely wore most of them, some didn't fit anymore and some went out of fashion in 1997, so had a clear out. I have a couple of suit jackets and blazers too, including a soft Jersey one but I wouldn't consider them coats.

Plus a ski jacket and a smart wool coat that I never wear anymore but I keep in case they are ever useful as would be very expensive to replace.

I have just four.

One tweed jacket covering all autumn - spring bases. I basically live in this one.

One long black coat for smart occasions / work.

One lighter more formal trench coat for autumn / spring.

One huge shaggy faux fur one for fancy occasions.

I also have a lightweight waterproof jacket but it's not really a coat, unless we're counting jackets too.

Four or five. But if I wanted a coat for walking the dogs only I would buy off ebay which I have just done. As new Zara Parka, really warm for £20.

I have two padded coats/jackets, two more formal coats and Zara parka.

Scared to count, tbh approx 25. Though some are at least over 20 years old. Got rid of some when I moved house but seem to have acquired more since The good news I have bought none this year and am determined to only buy if one type is absolutely done. Losing weight would also help for some of them

Since my original reply of 16, I've now added at least 2 more this autumn.

After regular drenchings at least twice a day last winter, I was blowed if I was going to repeat that misery this winter.

A longer length waterproof so I don't have soggy, dripped on thighs.
A huge, great big warm, snuggly waterproof coat. Perfect for loitering on a windswept, rain-lashed school playground with staggered drop-offs, while everyone else moans that its cold.

I can easily use 2 or 3 different coats in a day for different activities.

Lockdownslli I know the feeling..I’m heading there.!!!

Millions. I have no idea. I have six leather jackets, three faux fur coats, two denim jackets, two plain trenches, one ponyskin leopard trench type thing, two camel coats, wool coats in black, light grey, dark grey, dark pink, herringbone, brown tweedy thing, darker brown Ted Baker wool coat, quilted jackets in navy and khaki, trendy topshop khaki coat, another khaki jacket, green boucle thing, Jack Wills tweed jacket, a parka that’s about 13 years old. I have a few others I can’t remember. This isn’t counting blazers. One or two I need to get rid of (the pink one and one of the faux furs) but most of the others get worn regularly. I wear smarter clothes to work than I do for casual and this includes coats.

I love coats, they can completely change an outfit. As much as I love summer I do miss coats - although I’m very cold blooded and wear them for more of the year than most people do.

Evilharpy I see my collection ending up as millions! Although I don’t get rid of them until they’re completely unwearable

Also cold blooded-in winter I wear a close fitting biker with my shearling coat over the top!
I have enough for now, but I still keep buying them!

I have a long wish list-I was going to stop at 20 at the end of 2020 but that’s not going to happen lol!xx

I have a double wardrobe that is exclusively coats and jackets! And still shopping..

I think 7. 4 which I would class as coats and then 3 jackets (leather, denim etc)

Embarrassed to say as much, but probably 30-40. I’ve got a walk-in closet and two large coat closets in the mudroom. I do wear things for years and years.

That’s fine, so do I ! I only get rid of them when they totally wear out, which with coats and jackets isn’t often so my collection keeps growing-I’ve got a double closet exclusively coats and jackets which is full..but I’m Still shopping!xx

About 100. Mostly goose / duck down Michelin Man style.
