How many coats do you own?

Including leather jackets, denim jackets, mac, winter, summer coats etc.

(Not counting suit jackets tho)

Starting to think I need to thin out, especially since I just saw a moth in one 😮

More than 20, less than 50. And about 30 of them are very, very similar. Conversations in my house usually go:

'have you seen my black coat? No, not that black coat. The black coat with the off white lining, that's the black coat with the white lining, and yes there is a difference'.

Dp has two coats. One lightweight and waterproof, one heavier and waterproof.

But I live in the tropics so my 2 coats are just for taking on cold climate holidays - one puffy skiing jacket and one leather jacket

About 20 I think. Too many.

Although one is one of those ones that are two layers zipped together.
The other is back from the days when I used to dress up more often and is still in decent condition. It gets worn maybe once or twice a year for funerals or other occasions.
As soon as I can ditch the cost I do. Loads of cardis, wraps etc I hate being hot, far rather take risk when it comes to rain.

Two

A raincoat with detachable hood and zip-in lining that I can wear all year round and

A 3/4 length wool coat for the (few) really cold days in winter.

Also a full-length sweater that is almost a coat that I wear all winter.

More than 14plus. I too have a thing for coats. It seems to be hereditary as my daughters are catching up. I also keep buying coats for my granddaughters. I sold some of mine when I lost weight but then had to buy more.

I have in excess of 30 coats/jackets, probably well in excess Expensive outdoor brand jackets are my weakness, I covet and collect them like some people collect handbags etc. I do use most of them though, we live on the doorstep of the Rockies and it's a long winter here!

Six, I think. Only one warm winter coat, one "outdoor" jacket (Jack Wolfskin), one cagoule, one lighter shell jacket - I only wear that occasionally for rowing - one lovely heavy cotton jacket, one very thin jacket that is useful for travelling. I could easily have more, I'm always lusting after new ones.

About 100 million. Coats used to be my thing! Now every pennies goes on DD they are her thing.

Millions. I have no idea. I have six leather jackets, three faux fur coats, two denim jackets, two plain trenches, one ponyskin leopard trench type thing, two camel coats, wool coats in black, light grey, dark grey, dark pink, herringbone, brown tweedy thing, darker brown Ted Baker wool coat, quilted jackets in navy and khaki, trendy topshop khaki coat, another khaki jacket, green boucle thing, Jack Wills tweed jacket, a parka that’s about 13 years old. I have a few others I can’t remember. This isn’t counting blazers. One or two I need to get rid of (the pink one and one of the faux furs) but most of the others get worn regularly. I wear smarter clothes to work than I do for casual and this includes coats.

I love coats, they can completely change an outfit. As much as I love summer I do miss coats - although I’m very cold blooded and wear them for more of the year than most people do.

I have two winter coats, a rain coat, a pleather jacket and a denim jacket. I have a long fleece jacket so 6?

I also have lots of blazers as I need them for work (maybe 6? But possibly 8) but I wouldn't count them.

1. My waterproof, the thick jacket i wear all the time and looks old and needs replacing and my posh coat wore once makes me feel amazing

1 amazing winter overcoat that I only got to wear a handful of times this year as it just wasn't cold enough
1 light waterproof jacket
1 denim jacket
1 faux leather jacket (this the one I wear 90% of the time)
1 textile motorcycle jacket
1 black blazer for work
1 branded work fleece that stays over the back of my office chair as I'm always freezing in the office

I'm slightly surprised to say only 9 - I thought it would be more than that

I forgot to say they all serve a purpose, all are welll worn, and many of them are over a decade old but nowhere near ready to be thrown out.

I used to have more when I lived in a place where I could ski a lot, but I don't now so I don't need any more than those.

4, 1 proper coat, 1 denim jacket that is fleece lined (and much warmer than it looks), 1 real leather jacket and 1 fake leather jacket.

I have a terrible weakness for good coats....

I've recently had a bit of a clear out,so now I'm left with two parker type coats,two wool coats,two bomber jackets,a thin black dressy jacket and a denim jacket. Plenty really.
