Just that really... the last two episodes have been so slow!

How do dragons stay airborne with one slow flap every few seconds?

^This. Actually, nothing about dragons really ‘works’ scientifically. Aside from the fact that nothing that big and heavy could ever get airborne, there’s the issue of conservation of energy and how many calories a dragon would have to take on board in order to sustain ‘flames’ for any length of time. It’s just not anatomically possible.

I mentioned this on a FB group where there was a big argument about the fact that they are wyverns and not dragons. Apparently, GRRM thinks four legged dragons don’t work anatomically , as if two legged ones do FFS!

I also mentioned the fact that there are an awful lot of things about Planetos which are scientifically implausible and that’s without the inclusion of magic. Try to apply our understanding of biology, anthropology, geology and physics to the World of Ice and Fire and it all falls flat (and I’m ignoring GRRM’s woeful ignorance about human lactation).

I was basically told ‘duh, magic’.

The planet is wierd. Our seasons are predictable because they relate to what side of the globe you are on in relation to the sun. All predictable thanks to gravity and other consistent laws of physics.

Yet their seasons last years and no-one knows how long each will last.
