How much do people pay on rent each month

After the thread on how much is your mortgage, just wondered what everyone pays on rent each month and which area?

Oh wow. I'd forgotten how big the disparity can be! I pay £2100 for a beautiful 2 bed flat with garden in London, but have a part-time flat mate who pays £600, thank god. Zone 3 in a nice area.

@ooooohbetty Google is your friend. But zones are a transport term to describe how close the station is to central London. Zone 1 is most central London (the city), and zone 6 is the furthest out- so commuter towns mainly. Zone 1 is crazy expensive and the further out you are the more affordable housing will be.

£875 for a standard 3 bed detached in a nice area in the midlands. it's about the going rate for our area.

I am very lucky to rent from a very responsible housing association which takes its obligations as a social landlord seriously, and keeps the rents affordable.

I pay £400 pcm for a terraced house with two bedrooms and a small back garden in N. Yorks. However, any repairs, necessary maintenance or planned refurbishment is carried out by the housing association, so that is an added bonus.

South Manchester, roomy 2-bed terrace on quiet cul de sac by a river, £730. MUCH cheaper than most in the area, but the kitchen is dated.

£1900 for a 4 bed 3 bath 1920s huge semi in one of best bit of Bath . Although there are only 2 of us now, we run business and need a lot of storage/space and good parking, so we can actually deduct a bit against tax, not in our interests to rent small as we would end up paying for store age and offices. Could get similar elsewhere a bit out for less, but I don't drive and value the lifestyle too . We actually paid more in Oxford and London

I’ve been charging £600 per month for a three bed semi one bath, 2 reception rooms with garage, large garden to rear and decent sized garden at front, garage , private drive for 2 cars and off road parking in a very quiet street for the last 8 years in ne

They really look after it so I won’t be putting up the rent as I feel really sorry for them having to rent
