After the thread on how much is your mortgage, just wondered what everyone pays on rent each month and which area?

OP posts:
Easterbunnynearlyhere · 22/04/2019 16:32

£800, 5bed, sea view. NE.

JammyGem · 22/04/2019 16:32

£750 for 2 bed house in North Yorkshire. Very expensive for the county but we're in a really good area so the rents are higher here.

Still a hell of a lot better value than when we lived in Reading - £800 for 1 bed basement flat with severe damp/structural issues.

Blueberrybell · 22/04/2019 16:32

Grr didn’t mean to press post...

Similar private rentals would be around £1150
PCM. Commuter town in south east (20 minutes to London on high speed train).

I used to pay £1,100 for a tiny one bed flat in Muswell Hill, London 10 years ago. God knows what they are charging now. (Moved out as I bought my own place.)

Amazed at some of the cheap rents!

Blueberrybell · 22/04/2019 16:34

Wow- this thread is an eye opener - can’t believe what is available at the same prices I pay for places further away from London/ south east!

unsuredd · 22/04/2019 16:36

£450 for a 3 bedroom semi, tho more like 2 bedroom plus tiny box room that a single bed cant even fit in. Belfast. Would pay about £200 more per month for a similar house if I was in a different part of Belfast

£1000 a month for a new build 3 bed house in a nice area in Cheshire. We have a garden, all bedrooms are a great size (large doubles), 10 minute walk away from the main town, walking distance to school for our son.
