How many Easter eggs do the DC get from you including from family?

OP posts:
Wineandpyjamas · 19/04/2019 21:29

My DD(4) has a small creme egg one that she got from her grandad, a hotel chocolat bunny from my mum (who doesn’t approve of giving anybody what she considers to be sub standard chocolate apparently!), and a small gold lindor bunny and small net bag of mini chocs from me and DH. She also got a new summer dress and her little sister (11 months) got a new summer outfit.

She’ll be working her way through them for awhile!

dementedpixie · 19/04/2019 21:32

We have bought one big one for our kids. Don't really get many more these days now they're a bit older

katmarie · 19/04/2019 21:32

So far ds has a small lindt bunny and a book from us. We're seeing family on Sunday though so I expect there will be many more eggs for me to eat (ds is one and would rather play with the boxes I think!)

BelulahBlanca · 19/04/2019 21:32

She has a chocolate bunny from my cousin, an outfit from me and a book from grandma.

Leeds2 · 19/04/2019 21:34

My 21 year old has one big Hotel Chocolat egg from me.

cliquewhyohwhy · 19/04/2019 21:34

My three will get about 30 eggs between them from family and friends! Plus whatever they are given on the Easter egg hunt. Don't worry they all don't get eaten at once! Me and partner will be helping tuck in too.

RaveOn · 19/04/2019 21:35

One from us, and about 5 others from family.

NCforthis2019 · 19/04/2019 21:35

One mini one for my 5 year old and my 2 year old.

IAmAPersonToo · 19/04/2019 21:35

About 15 small eggs each from the Easter Bunny (the no cardboard, multipack egg hunt ones) and one ‘proper’ egg each from dh and me.
Probably about ten large eggs each in addition as they have a number of family who give them, plus an end of season football egg and the Church Youth Club egg etc.

All in all, far too many. 3/4 of them will be melted into crispy cakes on Monday (with their agreement, it’s an Easter Monday tradition).

Propertywoes · 19/04/2019 21:36

I've got them one each. I expect my mum will get them one as well. That'll do them.

Doje · 19/04/2019 21:36

A Buttons one from us, some little choc bunnies from my sister and a small smarties one from my parents. They've also done an egg hunt today and got some little ones.

Realistically, I will eat half of that anyway after their bedtime. 🤣

bibbitybobbityyhat · 19/04/2019 21:37

One each. A standard supermarket thing.

CupcakeDrama · 19/04/2019 21:38

They have about 4 each at the moment but might get some more tomorrow as only I buy for them (family dont bother) so im over compensating I guess 😩

MonkeyfaceThereturn · 19/04/2019 21:38

I've got 20 eggs each to hide for the hunt (the hollow hens egg sized ones)

Then they have 10 each of the bigger eggs in a bedroom pile for easter morning (the £1 ish ones, smarties/creme egg etc), plus one huge one.

They'll get another 6 from aunties and grandparents later in the day.

We love Chocolate Grin

Lwg87 · 19/04/2019 21:38

A bunny each and some small ones for a hunt. Both sets of grandparents tend to buy presents - clothes or toys- so likely that’s all. But they are only 3 and 1!

IncyWincyGrownUp · 19/04/2019 21:38

They have two each from my family so far, and will get another one each from their dad. They’ve decided they’d rather have a new game for the switch from me, and they’re negotiating with each other as to which one they want.

It doesn’t bother me how many they get. At the end of Sunday the chocolate gets chucked in the freezer and they snag a chunk when they fancy it.

They’re worse with crisps than chocolate, I don’t keep crisps in the house! :o

Pascha · 19/04/2019 21:38

One each from pil and dh's sister and a tub full of little ones from the egg hunt in the back garden.

Propertywoes · 19/04/2019 21:41

Some of these numbers are crazy. Why does anyone need 5+ Easter eggs each?!

PetrichorRain · 19/04/2019 21:42

I think DS will have around 4, plus a toy from us. And mini eggs which we’ll use to lay a trail so he can hunt down his eggs.

HomeMadeMadness · 19/04/2019 21:43

The "easter bunny" hides loads of small eggs in the garden which they hunt for, they also find an easter basket each with one larger egg in it. They never end up eating all the chocolate over Easter though. It just goes in the treat cupboard and is used as treats for the next few months.

reluctantbrit · 19/04/2019 21:45

We don’t do big eggs. DD does a small hunt with mini hollow eggs and mini bunnies plus what she gets from her grandparents, most likely Lindt bunnies.

She gets a Ravenclaw cereal bowl with a booking confirmation for Orlando for next year as well.

CheshireChat · 19/04/2019 21:46

One giant kinder egg and the egg hunt will have toys as DS isn't a fan of chocolate on its own unless it's black Lindt Hmm. I predict he'll pass the chocolate on to my DP as per usual Grin. In fact whenever he fancies a kinder egg he tells his dad they'll share it- DS gets the toy and DP the chocolate.

He has 5 mini Lindt eggs as well, I'll see if he actually likes them.

Cloudyyy · 19/04/2019 21:46

Ours are still small! One chocolate egg each only. However we do an Easter basket each with a cute Easter outfit, bunny ears, a book, a couple of little toys, some big chalk for outside, colouring books, stickers, homemade biscotti and plastic eggs for them to paint themselves. We also have an egg hunt in the garden with plastic eggs and the prize is a small plastic medal they’ll wear that day just for fun!

aibutohavethisusername · 19/04/2019 21:47

My DD is 17 and I’ve got her a set of Lindt bunnies in a cardboard hutch 😂

Gillian1980 · 19/04/2019 21:48

Dd (3) has 2 small ones from us, plus some Easter themed arts & crafts stuff and bunny ears.

She has 1 egg each from both grandparents, and from 2 of our friends.

6 eggs will last her absolutely ages!
