Many of my friends and acquaintances seem to think so. I still think it's unlikely.

Amongstthetallgrass · 10/04/2019 16:39

I hope not. What a disaster that will be

Triglesoffy · 10/04/2019 16:40

No,but I hope there will be.

violeticecream · 10/04/2019 16:44

I really hope there will be but I don't hold out much hope

Mygingercat · 10/04/2019 16:46

No

DelilahfromDenmark · 10/04/2019 16:47

No but I hope so.

OnlyFoolsnMothers · 10/04/2019 16:47

Nope- and i pray there isnt

NewGrandad · 10/04/2019 16:47

REVOKE!

Holidayshopping · 10/04/2019 16:48

I actually now think yes, there might be.

Sooverthemill · 10/04/2019 16:49

Yes I hope so

Gertie75 · 10/04/2019 16:50

I think no, revoke seems more likely or a deal that is so soft we may as well still be in.

DonaldTramp · 10/04/2019 16:53

I agree with your friends and family and have been saying so for months. It will be the last option left (other than revoking the whole thing which I also think is more and more likely, the longer it all drags on) and will eventually be perceived as the only way to give legitimacy to whatever is decided.
I think the question will be some kind of DEAL vs REMAIN. It would be great if it were a deal that more people were happy with - I almost feel the negotiations should be handed over to hard Brexiteers to give them a shot at doing it "better", if they think they can and then putting that up against remain.
"NO DEAL" is a nonsense fantasy land beloved by zealots, disaster capitalists and people that don't understand the first thing about economics - that doesn't even deserve a place on the form.
I personally don't think there's anything undemocratic about ratifying the final deal with a binding vote.

DanielRicciardosSmile · 10/04/2019 16:56

No. I think they'll take a long extension (12-18 months), still come to no agreement on a deal and end up quietly revoking article 50. It will all prove to be the biggest, most destructive waste of public money ever dreamed of.

Homefireburn1ng · 10/04/2019 16:57

Those saying it would be a disaster, is the shit show were currrntly going through not a disaster?

lubeybooby · 10/04/2019 16:57

I doubt it - at the moment looks more likely either a no deal crash out on Friday or a long extension and trying to get a deal through

Lengthy Brexit delay "highly probable"
European leaders are arriving about five minutes apart at the EU Council building in Brussels, and many are taking questions from reporters.

If watching world leaders smile awkwardly as they walk down a red carpet is your thing, the EU Council has organized a live stream.

Dalia GrybauskaitÄ—, the President of Lithuania, said she expects a Brexit delay to be granted at the meeting -- but predicted that Theresa May will have to compromise on the length of the postponement.

"I am confident that we will be supportive to [the] request of the Prime Minister. But it’s highly probable that it will be a longer extension than Theresa May wrote in her letter," she said.
"I am very flexible because it is not much sense to debate a concrete month. What we would like to see (is) to help accommodate (the) UK to have any kind of decision finally," GrybauskaitÄ— added.

When May arrived earlier, she dodged questions about what she would do if forced to accept a lengthy extension, but in the past she has insisted: "As prime minister, I am not prepared to delay Brexit any further than the 30th of June."

Yes it is. But what would be the point in ever voting again. Once you over turn a majority decision where will it ever stop? And I’m not just talking about brexit am talking about any significant decisions the public get to vote on.

TM was the worst person to have been dealing with this. We needed a strong leaver pushing and fighting for a good deal.

Walkingdeadfangirl · 10/04/2019 17:15

The elite are doing their utmost to stop us leaving the EU. I think the leaving date will be delayed for a year, project fear will continue to run rampant until the lying MPs officially refuse to make a decision and then we have a second referendum between two remain options.

We were never going to be allowed to leave the EU, democracy is officially dead.

Like General elections ?

The whole "referendum is sacred" is a crock. Things change. Things change all the time. It was David Cameron that (a) promised this would be a once-in-a-lifetime vote and (b) that he would implement the result. Really, the second he fucked off, we should have cancelled the whole thing. Why should the entire UK suffer for a promise not kept ?

He's gone. A further poll of people is entirely democratic. It always was. Especially as it could be a substantially different choice.

Anyway, it was a once in a lifetime vote anyway. My DM passed away shortly after voting.

Amongstthetallgrass · 10/04/2019 17:21

I don’t care about DC. Are you saying that just because he has gone we have revote?

I’ve not changed my vote. You lost. Should we do a third, fourth, fifth?

More people voted to leave. I’m sorry but you lost.

DGRossetti · 10/04/2019 17:22

I don’t care about DC. Are you saying that just because he has gone we have revote?

No, I said what I said. Which wasn't that.

Holidayshopping · 10/04/2019 17:25

Exactly!

Lifeover · 10/04/2019 17:28

Well the amount of threads basically asking the same question again and again certainly indicates remainers love of asking the same question again and again😂

Amongstthetallgrass · 10/04/2019 17:28

Right... so the seventeen and a half million people who voted to leave should have their vote nullified because the PM was incompetent. Ok.

Wow. Democracy hey??

needanappp · 10/04/2019 17:28

I think it's looking more likely as we go on but I don't really see what the point would be. People keep pointing out that referendums are only a poll in effect and the results don't have to be acted upon by the government. Our MPs are already proving that they couldn't find their arses with both hands and a map. Not really sure what another referendum would accomplish.

outpinked · 10/04/2019 17:29

I hope so but probably not. I hope they just revoke it in all honesty.
