10 days of school in April

Two weeks holiday and 2 bank holidays means only 10 days of school in April. AIBU to be annoyed?

Mine have 11 days, are you jealous?

Cheer up, next year has an extra day in February!

In our area, the schools break up on 12th April after a seven week half term. They go back on 29th April and break up again on 24th May (with 6th off for May Day) so 3 weeks and 4 days.
12 days this month, 19 days next month, what is the world coming to? We should all campaign to get the little buggers in school at weekends too to compensate for this laxness!

My Ds only has 9 days as he starts exam leave the week he goes back. I have 10 days at work though. But I have NO days at work in July 🎉🎉🎉

Did you also know there is a summer holiday and Christmas holiday aswell! Shocking it is

My kids have 6 days of school in April- I think they will have a nice break from school and we're lucky enough to have sorted childcare out.

Think yourself lucky boarding school I work at broke up on the 29th March don't go back till 25th April.

As for summer hols they get 9 weeks, 5th july to 31st august. Okay for some.

I like easter when it's not snowing, strange weather.

Crap- I teach a lot of GCSE and A Level classes, and it's cutting down on a lot of revision time which they're already short on
Teacher too. No, they aren’t. They have exactly the same number if school days in the course as any other year. You just have to finish and start scheduling revision before the Easter holidays. I’m

Look, I get that it can feel like lurching from one lot of organising to another but that’s just parenting really.

Only 4 weeks between DS going back and breaking up again for May half term.

I'm just pissed off that the little buggers come back after Easter. My classroom is so peaceful without kids in it.

I'm annoyed that my kids and I are only getting 8 school days off (break up next Friday, so Monday - Thursday then Tuesday - Friday) yet some kids that are already off have 10 days, plus 2 for Easter weekend!

My children start school at 9 and finish at 1.30pm! They also have 9, yes 9! Weeks off for summer
You're lucky you don't have to mind your children for as long as I do! :-)
