-Wow. You've got too much time on your hands if that's all you've got to worry about.

-LTB

  • You sound like hard work

  • You're over reacting [about absolutely anything].

  • wow. Just wow.

-this has been done before (as will this thread have been).

Anymore standard replies?
I see at least one on every single thread.
It's as though there has to be a Standard Arsehold reply.

Any others?

You sound really entitled.

No, I have never once lost my temper with my children [aye right].

Why did you have children with this man?

Wow, you must have a nice life if that's all you've got to worry about. (Fucking hate that one!).

It’s only fifty pound

Yes but that’s a lot of people to some . It’s a good chunk if not all of a weeks food shop to many.

You need to move to a house in the middle of a field if you can’t cope with neighbour’s noise. Yeah, we’ve all got the cash to do that.

"Where are you going on holiday?"

"We're spending three weeks on a Bolivian farm, doing charity work for local homeless people and sleeping in a shed. We go every year, my 2 yo and 6 yo LOVE IT and it wouldn't even occur to them that they'd be missing out on a pool."

No one ever just goes to Majorca on a package holiday

I hate this post with a passion, especially as it often appears when the verdict is by no means unanimous at all. Grin

You sound like hard work.

They sound autistic.

How old is the child?

He should be paying you to stay at home and look after his children until they’ve left university.

"You need to give your head a wobble"

"Get your ducks in a row"

Both of the above always make me think that the poster is not, shall we say, the sharpest knife in the drawer. The worst one of all however has to be:

"Go and see a solicitor. You're ENTITLED to a free half hour. They HAVE to give it to you"

Yeah, I'm sure there are hundreds of solicitors all across the country ready and willing to give out some free advice. Hmm

You sound bitter/jealous

Doesn't sound like you really like him/her. Generally said when the op is talking about mil who has just stampeded over ever possible boundary that any normal person would expect to be in place.

A lot of these I agree with

But my two pet hates are:

No is a complete sentence

NOBODY HAS EVER RESPONDED TO ANYBODY WITH THIS IN FULL IN REAL LIFE

"This child/adult behaved in X way and I was upset by it"

YABU because they might "have SN, MH etc"

THIS IS MY PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT TO ALL OF MUMSNET

MANY adults with disabilities find the term "special needs" offensive

So in your attempt to be virtuous and woke you are actually being regressive

MANY Adults with disabilities are not suddenly rendered incapable of being an arsehole by virtue of their disability one does not rule out the other

Signed : Adult with both a visible and hidden disability

"You don't like her very much, do you?"

To which the correct response is "no shit, Sherlock!"

Since when was it mandatory to like everyone?

Oooo I got you don't like her very much do you on a thread were I was debating a situation with a friend and venting

But that was the POINT I'd come to the sudden realisation after a very long term friendship that I maybe DIDNT like her very much anymore and I was feeling guilty
