Why are people still deluding themselves about Michael Jackson??

If any grown man I know invited children to sleep in his bed with him there would be absolutely no question about what was going on. I am sure that most people would agree, why are so many people still deluding themselves about this?? Makes me so cross, why do they even play his music on the radio??

I do find it odd that one of the men in the recent documentary only brought up the accusations after he was declined for a role as a choreographer for the cirque de soleil show

Me too, but he (Wade) has denied it (source: recent Vanity Fayre interview)
''It’s just completely inaccurate. I was hired three times for that show because it kept taking different iterations. And the third time was just preceding my second nervous breakdown. I was in between nervous breakdowns. So the third time, as I was crumbling and falling apart, I removed myself from the project. The accusation is completely false.''

MyBestFriendIsAHamster · 27/02/2019 13:43

And if your male neighbour had the mind of a 10-year-old would it suddenly become okay for your child to have sleepovers with them? Of course it wouldn't! But because it was Michael Jackson it's suddenly totally innocent and a normal thing to do 🙄

RissolePlease · 27/02/2019 13:44

great minds..

RageAgainstTheVendingMachine · 27/02/2019 13:47

The documentary Leaving Neverland is on channel 4 next Wed and Thurs for those interested in seeing it btw

MsLucyLastic · 27/02/2019 14:02

Michael is a music legend. Don't care what lies people spout about him, and nothing will change the fact that he is a music legend . NOTHING.

Ian Huntley is an amazing caretaker. Don't care what lies people spout about him, and nothing will change the fact that he is an amazing caretaker. NOTHING.

FFS wake up! Angry

decent summary

x2boys · 27/02/2019 14:18

Because he had so much money and so much power that's why parents allowed their children to go for sleepovers I don't know whether he abused children or not,but he was an odd individual there's no way on earth I would have allowed my child a sleep over.

RageAgainstTheVendingMachine · 27/02/2019 14:19

Oh and someone asked what Robson and Safechuck had to gain - other than closure/exposing what was allegedly done to them/helping others to come forward/highlighting the issues of grooming and shame....they do still have the services of California lawyer Vince Finaldi, who wanted to appeal their thrown out lawsuits. He said it was based on a technicality (I thought statute of limitations was the cause) rather than credibility.
The article in Slate refers to the documentary drumming up support for such an appeal.

FromEden · 27/02/2019 15:15

Not a cult member but wrt his laptops, if he had an unhealthy interest in young boys, why are the sites and images he accessed of teen girls? Surely his prediliction would have extended to his online activities?

Seems to me he used the pornography as part of the grooming process. Why else would it be everywhere, within easy access in an area frequented by children?

HowlsMovingBungalow · 27/02/2019 15:45

I saw a home video of MJ's showing him attending 1984 Grammys with Brooke Shields and his 'best friend' 13 yr old Emmanuel Lewis.
At one point in the video, Emmanuel tries to go up Brookes dress and MJ narrates ' Oh he is such a flirt. I like her and he likes her'

Emmanuel looks about 4 or 5 yrs old.

Februaryblooms · 27/02/2019 16:20

I also don't understand how people could say he's innocent. I'm yet to hear of somebody else with MH problems who's symptomatic behaviour is centred around obsessing with young children and sharing beds with them.

@livinglavidavillanelle do you have a link for the Surviving R Kelly documentary? I've been trying to find it on YouTube but all of the links I've tried don't work

(Sorry to derail the thread!)

Jaynesworld · 27/02/2019 16:48

@Februaryblooms if you have sky its on there. It looks like its on bbc, i just typed in the search bar.

SinkGirl · 27/02/2019 17:05

The cop present as the raid says there was an alarm system.

As for whether a young traumatised child correctly stated whether his penis was circumcised or not, seems highly likely to me that if he saw the underside of his penis, it would be in a state where it would be much harder to tell whether it was circumcised or not.

Why are people still deluding themselves about Michael Jackson??
Deadposhtory · 27/02/2019 17:26

How the hell did he have white kids

HowlsMovingBungalow · 27/02/2019 17:27

Their birth mother is white.

Blackbear10 · 27/02/2019 18:20

Whether or not he technically abused the young children he had at his ‘sleepovers’ he knew that even sharing the same bed as them was crossing a line.
He wasn’t stupid and would’ve known that any child would’ve felt vulnerable in that situation even if they really did only sleep next to each other.
He used and abused his power over children by putting them in situations that were wholly inappropriate.

Even if you say he ‘only’ held hands with these kids and ‘only’ shared a bed with them it is still abuse. The child would’ve felt vulnerable and without their parents there they would’ve felt unable to escape the situation had it become too much for them.
The children he subjected to his attention were unable to decide what they consented to and what they didn’t, they were too young and emotionally naive to be put in the situation.

Whatever way you look at it he did irreparable mental damage to young children even if he didn’t physically rape them.

OnlyFoolsnMothers · 27/02/2019 18:22

HowlsMovingBungalow they aren’t mixed race they are white!

Imissgmichael · 27/02/2019 18:30

Onlyfools what’s your definition of mixed race? If you don’t look mixed race they can’t be mixed race.

OnlyFoolsnMothers · 27/02/2019 18:39

Oh perlease - 3kids not one of them looks mixed race, the guy was a weirdo at best a paedo at worst and the kids weren’t his.

Imissgmichael · 27/02/2019 18:55

Well OnlyFools my DD better make enquiries at the maternity hospital because her child
was obviously swapped at birth. I didn’t realise DNA was merely a B and Q type colour chart.

RageAgainstTheVendingMachine · 27/02/2019 19:19

ethnicity of his DC is a derail but from what I gather Michael Jackson also has white ancestry

Imissgmichael · 27/02/2019 19:30

You’re right Rage but it’s ridiculous to state if you don’t look mixed race you can’t be mixed race which basically is what OnlyFools is alleging.

OnlyFoolsnMothers · 27/02/2019 19:56

Take colour out of it- not one of those kids has any semblance to their “father”

Imissgmichael · 27/02/2019 20:08

OnlyFools you’re the one who made it all about colour, bit late to backtrack.

In any case there are articles online which have pointed out features that are similar to MJs family/ancestors, together with pictures side by side to all three of them. Also all three looked quite olive skinned when children (unlike my GD who is fair skinned, blonde and blue eyed).

You seem to bringing all this up to support the case against MJ. Why?
