Why are people still deluding themselves about Michael Jackson??

If any grown man I know invited children to sleep in his bed with him there would be absolutely no question about what was going on. I am sure that most people would agree, why are so many people still deluding themselves about this?? Makes me so cross, why do they even play his music on the radio??

@PookieDo
"Wade has not shown himself to be a credible source. He’s conflicted himself multiple times with denials - in court"

Many victims have a period where they refuse to admit to themselves what happened. It is not unusual at all for victims to deny it in court. If you research the topic of abuse, you will know that.

AJPTaylor · 01/03/2019 05:56

I have absolutely no idea why he is still revered as some kind of genius. He was a pop star who was sexually abused children.

LunafortJest · 01/03/2019 05:56

@Deadringer "Not a fan particularly but you would imagine there would be way more allegations against him if it was true? He was a star for what, 30 years, surely there would be hundreds if not thousands of victims, and lots of ex employees and former friends tripping over themselves to sell their stories."

Why do you assume there aren't? We already know that at least 4 were paid off. Many, many don't come forward. Just look at the abuse those who have come out against Jackson have endured? Death threats, stalking online and offline, harassment, etc. You wonder why more don't come forward? Really?

Of course there are many more victims.

LunafortJest · 01/03/2019 05:57

@TripTrapTripTrapOverTheBridge May I suggest you don't believe every YouTube 'clip' by every biased MJ fan out there?

LunafortJest · 01/03/2019 06:00

Oh, another brainwashed fan in denial @HoppityFrog3 .

LunafortJest · 01/03/2019 06:05

@FrostedSnowdrops "MJ was proven innocent in a court of law."
No, he was not 'proven innocent'. There is no such thing as 'proven innocent' in a court of law. Not guilty does not equal 'innocent' in jurisprudence.

squeekums · 01/03/2019 06:06

**I watched the 2019 60 mins Australian documentary

I believe them.**

There was also one done by Sunday night on ch 7 the same night.
I have no doubt he was a pedofile and had people assist hiding his sick lifestyle.
No grown adult calls a 12 yr old his rubba bubba friend and gives him a book of photos of nakes boys

LunafortJest · 01/03/2019 06:19

@Luckystar777 Sometimes there is no conspiracy. Sometimes the truth is black and white. You attack pharmaceutical companies, people in control of the word....wtf? Do you realise that you come across as a conspiracy theorist tin foil hat wearing nutter? Btw, EVERYTHING is a chemical. WATER, is a chemical.

LunafortJest · 01/03/2019 06:25

@Devlinson "collectible art history books"
Only by NAMBLA

"Absolutely inaccurate and proven so by Jackson's autopsy, the most glaring error being that he wasn't circumcised when the description said he was."
When a penis is erect it often looks circumcised.

LunafortJest · 01/03/2019 06:26

@Devlinson Only a few girls ever slept over, compared to hundreds of boys. And the children he had over the most and was closest to were.....ALL BOYS.

LunafortJest · 01/03/2019 06:46

@hellenbackagen Two words.....

OJ Simpson

RageAgainstTheVendingMachine · 01/03/2019 06:57

We already know that at least 4 were paid off.

I only know of the Chandlers and the Francia settlements, who were the other two?

LunafortJest · 01/03/2019 06:58

As for child-like, 'asexual', he had PORN magazines. What 'asexual' man has that? He clasped his groin on stage. He was a VERY sexual being. very, very sexual. You can't be 'child-like' and 'asexual' and have a lot of porn magazines as well as look at porn on your computer, at the same time.

Either he was a sexual man (as the porn shows) or he wasn't. You can't have it both ways. An asexual person (and one of my girl friends is asexual) has ZERO interest in porn. Jackson was not asexual.

LunafortJest · 01/03/2019 06:59

@RageAgainstTheVendingMachine There were 2 before the Chandlers. I'll find the names and get back to you on that.

RageAgainstTheVendingMachine · 01/03/2019 07:12

Thank you.

FullOfJellyBeans · 01/03/2019 07:28

I have no opinion as I've never looked into the evidence but I wouldn't condemn him just because of what you wrote in your op (that he had boys over to stay the night). Based on that he could be just odd and messed up but not an abuser. There might well be more evidence though that you didn't write about.

RageAgainstTheVendingMachine · 01/03/2019 11:16

The 60 minutes documentary was not convincing if you know the background of the maid Adrian Mcmanus. It hinges on you being triggered by hearing details like vaseline being everywhere when the hearsay testimony is from someone with next to no credibility. (She ripped off her own niece/nephew's inheritance. She stole items from Neverland. She allegedly knew one of the jurors Eleanor Cook at the Arvizo trial Shock).
That was the main problem the prosecution had - practically all their witnesses were compromised in some way.

RageAgainstTheVendingMachine · 01/03/2019 12:03

jelly you could read some of the articles I have linked to but I warn you it is a rabbit-hole sifting through to try and make an informed opinion. In the bounds of probability/occam's razor I would say that Jackson was a hebephile, who surrounded himself with enablers and that his father was also abusive. (The Jacksons as a family have a lot of dysfunction throughout their personal lives).
I am not sure social services did their job correctly wrt the parents allowing sleepovers. I am still amazed that Jackson with the Bashir documentary had the brass brazen balls to justify them (is that in itself evidence of innocence/naivety or is it evidence of hiding in plain sight/narcissism - either way Gavin ended up being bullied at school as a result).
But...as 3/12 jurors in the Arvizo case did not do a 'twelve angry men' due to witnesses not being credible for that particular case - it makes it harder for other victims who might have come forward at a later date. They did not even charge him with the 'minor' counts in 2005 wrt alcohol.
Plus, until they got too old and were replaced, Jackson's 'companions' were in his life for a year to seven years - whilst hundreds visited Neverland, the 'chosen ones' (grim) might still be single figures.
I feel sorry for his victims but I also feel sorry for his children - Paris and her siblings must be hurt by the media attention/not their fault they were born into a media circus.
I did know someone with a shitty childhood who bought themselves a toy they had wanted as a child but never had - they were the sweetest gentlest person with no side to them at all when others might have been angry or bitter - they were not having 'playdates' when they reached adulthood however.

www.theguardian.com/music/2019/mar/01/leaving-neverland-is-it-still-ok-to-listen-to-michael-jackson

Guardian article today wrt the music vs the man. And with that, I am going to stop procrastinating and get my shit done! If you see me back on this thread before Wednesday, kick me off it ffs

LuvSmallDogs · 01/03/2019 12:55

Because people care more about celebrities than abused children. People care about a lot of things more than abused children, such as keeping up family appearances, their own sex lives and their financial security. Not all people obviously, but enough.

0ccamsRazor · 01/03/2019 13:10

To the victims of Michael Jacksons child abuse.....

I believe you

LuvSmallDogs · 01/03/2019 13:17

Regarding the foreskin issue, my DH had a circumcision for medical reasons, which left enough foreskin that when entirely limp (he’s a grower) you can’t tell it’s been done at all, but when erect he looks distinctly circumcised.

PinkCrayon · 01/03/2019 13:53

"I can safely say you have no idea what you are talking about. None whatsoever. I would want BOTH. The person sent to jail, and money as compensation for therapy for my child."

Calm down. You really struggle with people having different opinions to you dont you?
I for one would not be paid off I would want him in prison. The first childs family were paid off. Do you not know this?
Also in regards to Wade I dont find him believable. He has lied alot.
I also find it really strange how if its true what he says why is he not apologising prefusely for being apart of making sure Michael didnt get locked up and ruining the potential other victims trial supporting/defending Michael in court?
How could anyone do that to a child? Pretty sick.

changedifthatsokwithyou · 01/03/2019 14:27

We believe you.

Unless the other guy made music we like, in which case we don't.
