strikes me there is a lot of missing items out there with no good reason why they are missing. first we had the ironing board saga then the missing chicken which turned out not to be missing in the first place but was a scary moment for a while.
well not to be out done i am missing my kindle not seen for 6 months and my ipod seems to have wandered off as well.
are any other MNers missing any important items? what is going on out there i wonder

The really lovely silver bracelet that must have cost a FORTUNE and was given to me as a random act of kindness from an acquaintance. What's worse is I haven't seen it since moving out of a house share with a "friend" who wore that type of stuff (but she would have known damn well it was mine and VERY precious to me). I moved out because we had fallen out. Sad

@PuppyMonkey

Reminds me about the missing toddler fork in my house. I stacked the kids plates with forks on the side very badly and they all fell off onto the kitchen floor. Picked up the two plates and could only find one fork! Thing is there is nowhere else for the other fork to go, other than then floor, so it vanished and has never been seen again.

My sister lost her Sky remote control, only for it to turn up almost a year later in the bag with the Christmas decorations.

bobstersmum · 26/02/2019 12:38

Well when my daughter was born, she was born bald but with one thick long clump of hair growing out the top of the head. Looked bizarre. Three months later I lost a clump exactly in the same spot about the same size! That's beyond weird. She stole my hair!
No idea where the other missing things are though.

bobstersmum · 26/02/2019 12:39

And it's definitely my hair she's got because she's blonde but this hair clump she has is brown like mine!

Christmas Eve 2017. I went to the local shop for advocat.

Keys in hand, walked around shop and got to the counter and made payment.

Walked outside to car park and keys gone.

There were a fair few of us searching the aisles of (small) shop, shelves, outside.

To this day it is a mystery

rslsys · 26/02/2019 12:59

Haven't seen DW since breakfast time. Her car is in the yard and she's not in the house or the garden. Is it too early to worry?

ItsJustASimpleLine · 26/02/2019 13:01

Lego figure form my DS christmas present. Checked every toy box, no idea where its gone.

ipswichwitch · 26/02/2019 13:03

SoMuch I’ll definitely get on to the playmobil folks - they’re very helpful when I ring to order from the discontinued/damaged box sale!
The username is a lovely nickname given to me by my lovely brother who used to be a massive speedway fan and liked a good rhyming insult when we were kids 😂 I don’t live in the area though.

MotorcycleMayhem · 26/02/2019 13:18

The remote for the Firestick. Nowhere to be seen.

mumwon · 26/02/2019 13:38

NewAndImprovedNorks · 26/02/2019 20:49

Mum knitted me some lovely socks about ten years ago...I wear them for emotional times...illness, sadness...they are therapy socks. She has rheumatoid arthritis and will never knit again. They are very very precious.

Brought them downstairs at Christmas to show her I still had them and remind her how much they meant to me, and how much I treasure them.

Never saw them again :(

Linnet · 26/02/2019 21:43

Last January I took off a necklace, that I’d just received for Christmas two weeks before, put it down and haven’t seen it since.

When my dds were little I knitted them both a scarf each. One morning we were leaving for school and couldn’t find dd1’s scarf. Hunted high and low, checked the bin and everything but no sign of it. She’d had it on the day before when she got home from school I remember hanging it up on the coat rack but it’s never been found.

Demonstrablyso · 26/02/2019 23:33

Has anyone lost a fork? A random fork has appeared in our cutlery drawer. Everyone in the house denies any knowledge 🙄

I still haven’t found my lampshade though.

Whatisthisfuckery · 26/02/2019 23:43

My nail clippers went missing. I looked all over but they were nowhere to be found.

Today I popped into Boots and got some more because my finger nails needed doing, and after I’d used them I put them in my wash bag, where the old ones lived, and guess what? I found the old ones. They’d gone into the little side bit between the main compartment lining and the zip.

Now I have two pairs of nail clippers.

Betsy86 · 27/02/2019 00:10

I lost a necklace a few years ago and searched everywhere tipped the rubbish bin out everything but was gone. Then remembered putting it into a pocket but it was no longer there checked washing machine, nothing.
My machine had a filter on the front so opened it after next few washes in hope would find it but no joy. About a month later looked again and the necklace was in the filter!
So anyone with missing jewellery dont give up hope and check any filters on appliances.
Same cant be said for all my odd socks etc no idea where they’ve gone!!!x

Guiltypleasures001 · 27/02/2019 00:44

Paring knife, or should I say knives, I had one for over 20yrs fitted my hand perfectly, disappeared, found much later in dh greenhouse, blunt and knackered.

I've replaced it 4 times, and only one left now 😒
now pizza wheels are going missing, had 5 now down to 1

Shockers · 27/02/2019 09:13

My new jumper (only worn once) has vanished!

I wanted to wear it today.

SchadenfreudePersonified · 27/02/2019 13:52

MINE!

Allgoodfun · 27/02/2019 17:07

guilty scissors are your friend for cutting pizza, much easier.
We lost a dining chair for about a year. We only live in a small house with no obvious chair size hiding places. It turned up one day in the garage next to the washing machine. It can’t have been there all the time, I couldn’t have missed it there.

girlofthenorth · 28/02/2019 05:18

Betsy86 will look there for necklace and bracelet the pixies took a couple of days ago!

Amazonfromkent · 28/02/2019 06:26

Two weeks ago my black coat vanished, then last weekend my jacket literally disappeared!!! From my bag!!! I'm scared.

Weenurse · 28/02/2019 07:08

Kitchen scissors, every time I buy a new pair they run away

longwayoff · 28/02/2019 08:55

Somewhere, there's a whole world constructed solely from odd socks and teaspoons.
