I don’t see any benefit in naming him other than to satisfy the public lust for detail.
As for whether or not he is damaged, given that we practice restorative justice in this country he will receive treatment on the inside which will determine soon enough whether he has psychological issues which led him to do what he did. Either way he isn’t going to be out any time soon so details like his name are of no benefit to the public at large.
As for the post up-thread saying he won’t last long in prison, people often say this she someone is jailed for a horrific crime, and nothing ever happens to them. And it’s worth noting that everyone in prison is there for a reason, so one murderer doing in another is hardly worth celebrating.
Millimollimandi the reason why the bulger killers were given life-long anonymity is precisely because they were named when they were convicted, and so when they were released they had to be given new identities for their own protection.
The whole case is so incredibly sad, and there were sadly a lot of issues within the family as well.
