To not be happy with my tummy tuck ??

DizzyBeeme · 18/02/2019 18:15

So...I had a full tummy tuck with muscle repair and Lipo to my love handles in Istanbul.. 6 months in and even though my huge apron of skin has gone it's not at all what I thought it would be like. I still have a huge upper abdomen as apparently they could not do Lipo to this area.

I'm thinking of going back to have Lipo done to my upper abdomen and vaser Lipo to get my figure looking better.

Look at.my pics and let me know what you think. The first 2 pics are before and after and the final pic is from the side.

I think your arms and chest show that you are naturally slim and toned. Agree to get some medical advice in UK.

WhentheRabbitsWentWild · 18/02/2019 20:46

I am 5ft 2 and a size 10 at 9 stone .

Just saying , as everyone else seems to be .

Momo18 · 18/02/2019 20:52

I think your tuck looks great, I should imagine the reason they couldn't remove the upper fat is it might be visceral fat (think that's the term) it's behind organs and harder. Once you've lost more weight it will look flat. The people I know with a tummy tuck had similar results to you, you can't cheat weightloss I'm afraid.

Hippychicken · 18/02/2019 21:01

I’ve had a tummy tuck well actually a mini tummy tuck where the surgeon just redid my c section scar removed the excess skin and repaired my stomach muscles and lipo it was 4500 in the UK and that was with Bupa
Someone quoting you 10k is having a laugh
My stomach is very very flat and I only have my C -Section scar which is about an inch longer ok each side on my bikini line
But I didnt have a big stomach to start with just a smallish apron that wasn’t going anywhere
There is no way with a big produding stomach like yours will you get a flat stomach your weight is all at the front and you can’t get rid of that by surgery.
If you had lost more weight then yes you probably would have got much better results
A tummy tuck will generally only do that if your at your ideal Weight when you have it done

On one of those surgery abroad programmes in Cyprus there was a lady who’s stomach was exactly like yours and like you she had unrealistic expectations In getting ma flat stomach and like you she wasn’t happy with the end results
What I would be worried about is even if you lose 3 stone you will end up with a really bad saggy skin that will be loose so in effect your tt will probably not be worth it if that happens

If you want to pm I can send you a few photos of me in a bikini as I’m on holiday atm so you can see how flat my stomach is

sagradafamiliar · 18/02/2019 21:03

Are you serious, Hippy?

Namechangeforthiscancershit · 18/02/2019 21:05

stopfuckingshoutingatme · 18/02/2019 21:14

Ah hippy what a sweet gesture

NOT GrinAngry

Pixie2015 · 18/02/2019 21:15

That’s an amazing difference from the first photograph and scar looks very neat - good on you for loosing weight and sticking with it - use healthy diet and life changes for further weight loss as surgery comes with such risks - good luck and well done x

Hippychicken · 18/02/2019 21:16

Know not a joke at all the I wouldn’t be happy with that result and I personally would want to get more ideas as to what I can do about it in the future
I can show her where my scar is and what she should have got if it was done properly
I’m Also happy to give the op the name of my surgeon who was bloody excellent
If I’ve offended the OP then apologise to the OP

I paid for my consultation it was £150
The 3 that I went to that offer free consultations both said I need a full tummy tuck with my belly button replaced and a much bigger scar this would have cost a lot more
But the surgeon who consultation I paid for was very honest that I only needed a mini tummy tuck
Minimal scaring and mini lipo

But maybe the op was quoted for a full tummy tuck which is why it was 10k but that’s still a lot of money

explodingkitten · 18/02/2019 21:19

I think you need a second opinion with a reputable plastic surgeon. They will know what is possible and when would be the best timing. At first glance it looks like the timing wasn't the best but you have a very local problem, you're not fat overall so you really need the opinion of a medical professional. We can't see how much is localised fat or extra skin.

WhentheRabbitsWentWild · 18/02/2019 21:21

I think Hippy is coming from a good place .. just her turn of phrase is a bit, um , not to everyone's taste I suppose.

sagradafamiliar · 18/02/2019 21:24

Nope. 'Pm me so I can send you my holiday pics with slinkeh me in my bikini to see what you could've had' is naaasty

AnyFucker · 18/02/2019 21:26

Hippy post your pics here

G'wan

WhentheRabbitsWentWild · 18/02/2019 21:29

Just seen your second photo OP . You look fine there but I see why you would want the surgery corrected (from the photos you first shared) .
Best of Luck

WinterfellWench · 18/02/2019 21:29

@HippyChicken

A second vote here for you to post your pics here.

ShirleyPhallus · 18/02/2019 21:31

If anyone wants to PM their bank details I’ll transfer them a significant amount of money I’ve inherited?

princessTiasmum · 18/02/2019 21:31

Im sorry but i would not be happy with that tunny tuck, but as been said maybe you needed to lose more weight first

halfwitpicker · 18/02/2019 21:33

Yeah I'm with Shirley

Doggydoggydoggy · 18/02/2019 21:35

I’m not being funny but you had cheap surgery abroad when you still had weight to lose..

Your lucky it’s not worse!
I will never understand why people risk their safety like this.

I looked into a tummy tuck years ago, I was told I had to lose weight before it could go ahead and I was quoted around £9,000

Haworthia · 18/02/2019 21:38

I think Hippy is coming from a good place

If that’s a good place I’d hate to see the bad.

It reads more like “here’s the excellent result you could have got if you’d made better choices”.

givemesteel · 18/02/2019 21:39

OP please ask for this thread to be pulled, there are enough nasty people to destroy your self esteem, plus you've revealed your identity with that photo.

You're an attractive woman, focus on your health.

KissHerYouBrilliantFool · 18/02/2019 21:47

To me, it does look as though the surgeon removed the apron of skin but because you weren't at your target weight you're still left with a larger tummy than you'd like. Your body shape is an 'apple' shape I'd say. I am exactly the same. I am an apple shape too. I lost 4 stone a few years ago and my tummy has really gone down, so I think as you lose more weight your tummy will go down too.

I would also check with your GP that you don't have diastasis recti or a hernia. Just to put your mind at rest more than anything.

I think you look gorgeous in your pic, OP, so I hope my comments don't make it sound as though you don't look great.

WinterfellWench · 18/02/2019 21:47

No pics then hippy?! Wink
