To not be happy with my tummy tuck ??

DizzyBeeme · 18/02/2019 18:15

So...I had a full tummy tuck with muscle repair and Lipo to my love handles in Istanbul.. 6 months in and even though my huge apron of skin has gone it's not at all what I thought it would be like. I still have a huge upper abdomen as apparently they could not do Lipo to this area.

I'm thinking of going back to have Lipo done to my upper abdomen and vaser Lipo to get my figure looking better.

Look at.my pics and let me know what you think. The first 2 pics are before and after and the final pic is from the side.

I've done the Cambridge diet, gentle exercise is fine but go very easy and learn your limits. I did it because I was high risk of diabetes after 2 gestational diabetes pregnancies. After doing lots of research and reading up on Prof Roy Taylor's work at Newcastle Uni I thought I'd give a VLCD a whirl for 12 weeks. I lost 4 stone and have kept it off. Best thing I ever did.

Agree they really shouldn't have operated on you with 3 stone left to lose - and I'm assuming it's 3 stone post surgery so not counting what was removed. I think not waiting until you had got to a stable weight will leave you with less than the anticipated outcome.

For what it's worth though, I think you're very attractive and your amazing body made your babies - those you carry in your arms and those in your heart. Don't be too hard on yourself.

The muscle repair would give you a tight taught base and the surgeon should have lipo’d the entire area.
I think your belly button looks a little bit too low as well.

ichifanny · 18/02/2019 19:52

You look great OP lovely face and your figure looos great don’t get hung up on the scales , I’m another dense boned person When I weigh 11 stone I’m a size 10 too . I do think you should have waited to have surgery for better results , just knuckle down to get fat off your middle if that’s what makes you happy .

rainbowsugarsnaps · 18/02/2019 19:53

@DizzyBeeme I don't have any advice but I just wanted to say in the second photo with the top you look lovely & I know you've had some very very blunt feedback here so I hope you are ok! Wine

Op thinking about my knowledge of muscle separation, I found this image. I do wonder if you still have separation higher up. My muscles have not ever quite gone back and I can feel a ridge if I try to do a sit up. The bulge you feel could be from separation, especially as you are small.

Sorry didn’t seem to post, here,

Had the surgery far too early. Shouldve had it at goal.

sagradafamiliar · 18/02/2019 19:58

I'd like to think so as well, AF but we all know that male approval isn't what makes us truly happy within ourselves and nor should it.

AlexaAmbidextra · 18/02/2019 19:58

I think some companies do this for free?

No, no, no. Do not go for a free consultation with a cosmetic surgery group that uses glossy ads in magazines. They will give you the hard sell and their surgeons are not always the best.

It was cost-cutting that got you into this mess in the first place so please learn from that and see a reputable surgeon. Ok, it will cost you a couple of hundred quid for an initial consult but surely it’s worth that in the circumstances?

I'm a size ten/twelve at 11st but I'm 5ft 8 and fairly broad across the shoulders, if I go under ten stone people ask me if I've been ill.

wombatsears · 18/02/2019 20:15

I think you look lovely OP. I would see a GP to check everything’s ok though.

DrinkFeckArseGirls · 18/02/2019 20:17

Going by your neck amd arms I can’t see how you can be a size 10 and do up bottoms size 8. Like someone uphread said: are you talking about American sizes?

Eattothebeat · 18/02/2019 20:17

You look stunning in that picture OP - beautiful and stylish. I'd ask for it to be taken down though as it could bite you in the bum one day.

Aridane · 18/02/2019 20:21

OP - I think you look lovely

Aridane · 18/02/2019 20:23

Get checked out by your gp though.

Was any follow up / aftercare included?

iMatter · 18/02/2019 20:26

Sorry OP but I think the operation wasn't the right thing for you.

You look massively bloated/overweight and I'd be seriously concerned about your visceral fat percentage. I don't think that invasive surgery has done you any good. Thanks

stopfuckingshoutingatme · 18/02/2019 20:31

God there are some unkind bitches on here tonight

Quite . Fuck me if you have nothing nice to say ? Ugh

OP if you managed to arrange this losing
Some more weight and a shit load of core is nothing you can’t handle

Anyway back to my exercise mat where I was before I got distracted !!

Heal up that scar looks 😖😖

BriennetheBeauty · 18/02/2019 20:32

I think you look lovely and sorry that your unhappy at the outcome

But...

Can everyone stop associating weight with dress size???

I’m 16st and a size 18 - I’m not delusional that is the size I wear.

DrinkFeckArseGirls · 18/02/2019 20:32

The reason for a bog stomach is not always fat. I wasn’t big but had constantly protruding stomach. It was a mix of dairy allergy, gluten intolerance, separated muscles, inactive inner layer of stomach muscles (top layer was well trained at the gym oddly!), bad posture
and hormonal imbalance. You could also be “apple”. So if you thought you only had fat gathering in one area, the first port of call should be a GP.

Seeleyboo · 18/02/2019 20:35

I don't see the after pics

Alyosha · 18/02/2019 20:37

Some people on here are horrible! I think your photo with your togs on is lovely.

It's a real pity your surgery didn't go to plan, I hope everything is OK under there.

My DS is 17 weeks old and I still have 2 stone to lose before I am back to pre-pregnancy weight, I get down every day looking in the mirror! However to echo everyone here, it is possible to do this with eating.

I would really focus on nutrition over exercise, as most studies show that food is really what makes a diet. Exercise is really important for health & how you feel about yourself but to lose weight it's 95% about what you eat.

I previously went from 11 stone to 9 stone through a crazy fasting (4:3 diet), before my wedding - took me just 2 months. There is a lot of evidence that the speed at which you lose weight isn't a factor at how fast it goes back on again and that there aren't negative effects from dropping weight that fast.

I am breastfeeding at the moment so can't do such a crazy diet any more, however I have managed to lose 10lb in a month through weighing myself every day & tracking everything I eat (Myfitnesspal - free app), and having 2 days a week where I only eat 1000 kcal.

Best of luck!

adaline · 18/02/2019 20:42

Please go to the GP.

I don't want to worry you but a heavy/hard feeling like you describe alongside bloating can be a sign of ovarian cancer.
