To not be happy with my tummy tuck ??

DizzyBeeme · 18/02/2019 18:15

So...I had a full tummy tuck with muscle repair and Lipo to my love handles in Istanbul.. 6 months in and even though my huge apron of skin has gone it's not at all what I thought it would be like. I still have a huge upper abdomen as apparently they could not do Lipo to this area.

I'm thinking of going back to have Lipo done to my upper abdomen and vaser Lipo to get my figure looking better.

Look at.my pics and let me know what you think. The first 2 pics are before and after and the final pic is from the side.

See your drs if you feel something is poking through you might have a hernia

BentNeckLady · 18/02/2019 18:34

I thought you had to have lost he weight before you had the surgery?

MiniCooperLover · 18/02/2019 18:35

I'm sorry OP, your surgeon should never have agreed to do it at your weight. Your weight appears too high to have a flat outcome.

mummymayhem18 · 18/02/2019 18:36

I wouldn't have anymore operations especially in another country. I'm guessing from your pictures that you have had children. Your arms aren't big but like me and a lot of women you carry a lot around the middle. How much did it cost if you don't mind me asking? I'm no expert but they aren't very good before and after shots. Please don't think I'm being nasty. I'm a large lady so I know how hard it is to lose weight especially when you factor in health conditions and medication being partly to blame. Be happy in your own skin. Xx

ShirleyPhallus · 18/02/2019 18:38

I agree with everyone, it does look as though you needed to lose weight prior to having this

Why did you go to Turkey and not through the UK? Because it was cheap?

DizzyBeeme · 18/02/2019 18:39

The surgery was £2500 . I'm actually a tiny size 10 I just have a huge stomach due to carrying 4 babies and losing 3 (early miscarriages)

It's not great sorry.

DizzyBeeme · 18/02/2019 18:42

The surgery was £10000 in the UK which was Unaffordable for me

Sorry OP no reputable surgeon should do a tummy tuck on someone who hasn’t reached a healthy weight , there’s simply no way they can remove all the fat left , it’s much more effective if it’s just skin they have to tighten up . Well done on losing weight though but they should have advised you to wait till the end of your weight loss .

Tomtontom · 18/02/2019 18:42

If you're really a size ten then you don't need to lose three stone.

Do you mean you're aiming for a size ten?

BentNeckLady · 18/02/2019 18:43

How much do you weigh?

Tennesseewhiskey · 18/02/2019 18:43

I had a boob reduction and uplift.

My surgeons refused to do it until I was at the weight I was aiming for.

Because of the Lipo.

Springwalk · 18/02/2019 18:44

Op your operation looks painful, and I think they have done a terrible job. Go to a reputable registered surgeon recommended by your GP and ask for proper advice.

I would also get your tummy checked by a doctor, it looks a little bloated ( could be the surgery and meds) and it looks out of proportion with the rest of your body.
Never ever go to a foreign country again. The risks are huge.

DizzyBeeme · 18/02/2019 18:44

Im a size 10 and weight just under 11 stones. I'd like to be 8 stones.

Tennesseewhiskey · 18/02/2019 18:45

I am sorry op, but you got what you paid for.

They shouldn't have done if when you still had 4 stone to lose.

Can you share the photos of women with lovely flat tummies, who still have 4 stone to lose?

EdWinchester · 18/02/2019 18:45

I don’t really know what you could’ve hoped for as you’re still carrying so much extra weight.

I think the clinic has acted irresponsibly. Surely they should’ve told you to lose enough weight first? 3 stone to go seems an awful lot. Sorry.

Geminijes · 18/02/2019 18:47

Op...how tall are you?

Wakk · 18/02/2019 18:48

How much did you weight before the surgery? I think if you were aiming for 8 stone it was wrong of them to operate until you were at target.

MadMillie · 18/02/2019 18:48

I agree with others, most surgeons wouldn't have carried out a tuck and lipo when you still had so much weight to lose. I wouldn't be considering any more surgery until you're at your target weight and have spent time toning up tbh. I'm surprised a surgeon agreed to the surgery in the first place.

ichifanny · 18/02/2019 18:49

I’m assuming your are quite short then , maybe just wait and see what happens as you lose fat through diet , it certainly looks like most of the loose skin is gone .

Whocansay · 18/02/2019 18:50

I think you should go and get a professional opinion.

You've had surgery. It may have been for cosmetic reasons, but it's still dangerous. I think you were expecting too much - or your surgeon over-promised about what he could do.

bringinginthesheep · 18/02/2019 18:50

I really do find it hard to believe you're a size 10 at nearly 11st. I'm 9.5st and I'm a 10/12. If you were a size 10 you wouldn't need to lose 3st.

ShirleyPhallus · 18/02/2019 18:50

Sorry for your miscarriages btw Flowers

TaimaandRanyasBestFriend · 18/02/2019 18:51

I'm actually a tiny size 10 I just have a huge stomach due to carrying 4 babies and losing 3 (early miscarriages)

Really? I mean, the size is based on waist measurements so if you have a big belly I'm not seeing how you can be a 'tiny size 10'. My belly looks like that and I'm a size 16.

HJWT · 18/02/2019 18:51

They have cut way to high up for a start!
