Celery.

The tiniest slice ruins any meal. AIBU?

Do you have another suggestion?

Avocado. I have tried to love it and see what everybody else sees but its vile. The texture is horrid and it tastes of nothingness. No thank you!

EdWinchester · 09/02/2019 19:32

Coriander leaves on top on anything - ruinous.

Alcohol in puddings or chocolates - ditto.

But I could eat goat's cheese every day of the week.

EnglishRose13 · 09/02/2019 19:33

Rosemary.

Stardustinmyeyes · 09/02/2019 19:33

Coriander leaf tastes like soap
Peppers, raw are ok cooked just vile

Walnutwhipster · 09/02/2019 19:33

Coriander
English mustard
Anchovies
They kill everything they touch.

brizzledrizzle · 09/02/2019 19:34

Aubergine - my son asked the other day why there was a slug in my meal. I'd treated myself to a lovely Thai curry from Waitrose.

SilverBirchWithout · 09/02/2019 19:34

Rosemary is the work of the devil.
It seems to be in everything these days: roast potatoes, stews, and casseroles. Horrible pungent herb that over powers everything it comes in contact with. Like having pine needles in your food, and it stabs your gums.

HelmutFrontbut · 09/02/2019 19:34

Oh, even before I opened this thread I thought of celery! I hate it both raw and cooked 😰😰😰 Even when I see a picture of it I want to simultaneously cry and vomit. It's the most hateful thing ever. EVER EVER EVER EVER

My dad crunches a stick every lunchtime with his soup, I can't bear to be in the same room as him 😠😢😠😢

brizzledrizzle · 09/02/2019 19:34

Rosemary and sea salt is lovely in bread.

Alittlebitofthat · 09/02/2019 19:34

Cucumber and coconut. Both make me want to gag. Ive always known as soon as my mother opened a packet of biscuits/buns that they contained coconut just by the smell, my father is exactly the same. We know even if it isn’t listed on ingredients as we’ve discovered a few times does happen with home bakery stuff....

ChrisPrattsFace · 09/02/2019 19:34

Fennel. Enough said.

GETTINGLIKEMYMOTHER · 09/02/2019 19:35

Cream. Revolting stuff. So many otherwise inoffensive puddings ruined by being slathered with it.

Babysharkdoodoodoodo · 09/02/2019 19:35

Truffle/truffle oil. Tastes what I imagine shit tastes like.

Oysterbabe · 09/02/2019 19:35

Yes to coriander and fennel.

Crockof · 09/02/2019 19:36

Coriander, it ruins everything. Sandwiches if they become warm, especially if they have cucumber in them 🥒

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 09/02/2019 19:36

Coconut in savoury foods like curries
Sultanas in savoury food
Chocolate paired with any citric fruits

And when there.s a buffet and all the salads have ham, tuna or other chopped up non-vegetarian foods in. Why not have the salads vegetarian (or vegan) and the other bits to add if you want them

x2boys · 09/02/2019 19:36

Dh would say cheese, he hates how they sneak it in to everything and whist like cheese I have to t ad every thing very carefully to make sure it's not got cheese in ,have to agree with coriander taking like washing up liquid.

Ironmanrocks · 09/02/2019 19:36

Raisins - utterly disgusting
Raw onion
Fruit in salads apart from fruit salad
Ketchup (does that count? It is truly rank...)
Aubergine
Alcohol in desserts
Truffle/truffle oil
Meat.....

Tawdrylocalbrouhaha · 09/02/2019 19:37

Goats cheese.

Why would you want your food to taste like you're licking a smelly goat?

MadeleineMaxwell · 09/02/2019 19:37

Olives. AKA the devil's haemorrhoids.

Scallops. AKA savoury marshmallows.

And also mushrooms, green peppers, coconut, aubergine, fish, lamb and goat's cheese as per everyone else.

But I bloody love coriander!

Dyingforchocolate · 09/02/2019 19:37

BluthsFrozenBananas I had forgotten about mayo, it really is the work of the devil but it on just about every sandwich everywhere Angry

labazsisgoingmad · 09/02/2019 19:37

anything spicy chillis etc i am vegetarian and anything i buy seems to have this awful spicy taste to me vegetables taste fine as they are without making your mouth burn

ShimmeringIce · 09/02/2019 19:38

Lemongrass, tarragon and olives for me. Blurgh!

VanillaSauce · 09/02/2019 19:38

Green peppers, why do they even grow them?

They're not a different variety to the red/yellow ones. Green peppers are just not as ripe as the red/yellow ones. Grin

ilovepixie · 09/02/2019 19:38

Mayo/ salad cream.
