Celery.

The tiniest slice ruins any meal. AIBU?

Do you have another suggestion?

Tomatoes
Onions
Green peppers

Oysterbabe · 09/02/2019 19:02

Yanbu, it tastes of piss.

UncleBulgariasGiantPenis · 09/02/2019 19:04

Ohhh, I love celery. Sprinkled with salt. With cheese on. Or a bit stalk of it in a Bloody Mary!

Anchovies, however, are revolting!

SolemnlySwear2010 · 09/02/2019 19:04

Mushrooms - little slimy pieces of horribleness 🤢🤮. Can sense them in any type of food, no matter how they are chopped/cooked

Binglebong · 09/02/2019 19:06

Coriander leaf. AKA washing up liquid.

Chilli. Why is it in everything at the moment?!

ABoozedMoose · 09/02/2019 19:06

Baked beans

MrsWidgerysLodger · 09/02/2019 19:06

Raw onion. People seem insistent on sneaking it in to as many foods as possible and I bloody hate it. The taste of it taints everything else too. :(

HappyDinosaur · 09/02/2019 19:07

Alcohol in my dessert, please no.

StillCoughingandLaughing · 09/02/2019 19:08

Mushrooms - little slimy pieces of horribleness

Amen to that. I’m vegetarian and get so sick of bloody mushrooms in everything. We’re expected to love them just because they’re vegetables 🙄 Does every meat eater love lamb or duck?

CatsOnCatnip · 09/02/2019 19:08

SALTANAS!

Decrepit geriatric fruity bastards.

CalamityJane10 · 09/02/2019 19:09

Red peppers.

Contaminate everything they’ve been near.

Lucked · 09/02/2019 19:09

I’m with the OP on celery also stop putting cucumber in my water, fine in a salad but putrid in water.

Heronymous · 09/02/2019 19:10

I like cooked celery, but it’s foul raw.

I despise chestnuts. They taint everything at Christmas!

DrMidgeryMargery · 09/02/2019 19:10

Mushrooms.
Coriander leaves.
No. No. Thrice no.

Iownabigvase · 09/02/2019 19:10

Another one for mushrooms.
They pollute any other food they're next to.

Dyingforchocolate · 09/02/2019 19:11

Raisins 🤢
Also yes to celery & mushrooms!

Variousartists · 09/02/2019 19:11

Red peppers. I pick them out with my fork and collect them together on the side of the plate.

jackstini · 09/02/2019 19:11

Lettuce - it never added anything to any dish
Makes bread soggy on sandwiches and tastes like gone off water

happylittletree · 09/02/2019 19:11

Beetroot. I actually like it (when in the mood) but it contaminates everything it touches.

Same with truffle oil. Despise. In case anyone here doesn't know, the flavour is artificial.

Flev · 09/02/2019 19:12

Raw tomatoes. Make any salad inedible.

ginghambox · 09/02/2019 19:12

Garlic, the friend of bad cooks.

jacquesjacques · 09/02/2019 19:12

Raw tomato - ruins a salad, guac or sandwich instantly and is in EVERYTHING.

PlainVanilla · 09/02/2019 19:12

Another vote for raw onions. Recently I had lunch (buffet), there were raw onions or chopped raw leeks in almost all the salads and then a big tub of sliced, raw onion - presumably just in case you hadn't already had enough.

rubyslippers · 09/02/2019 19:13

Raisins
They ruin cake, scones and salads
Yuck

WillYouDoTheFandango · 09/02/2019 19:13

Coriander for me.

I love mushrooms but was unknowingly once served Quorn chilli by someone who swore we wouldn’t tell the difference and that was so obviously fungi-y and I couldn’t bear it.
