All the ones that aranged for brexit without any clear plan can go to hell as far as I'm concerned. That's why we are in such a mess now!

Gosh - scary teacher- your user name is certainly apt. It is scary you’re a teacher. Where do you get all that nonsense about the EU from? We have had a very significant influence on the EUs direction of travel - we were the ones pushing for Eastern European countries to join and so they did. As for your bonkers comment earlier about (presumably) Turkey joining - again that was our government who were pushing that and if we don’t want them to join, they can’t. And what possible basis do you have for that comment about us being “forced” to bail out Italy. Eh?

Did you vote leave because of all that? Because you don’t know it’s all a lot of old rubbish? That’s really appalling that our economy is being destroyed and rights taken away because a few rich powerful people are manipulating the monumentally gullible.

And Donald Tusk is entirely correct and not even rude in my view. Actually quite a compassionate view towards the uk considering.

Threads like this (352 posts!) will always bring out forceful, contradictory opinions. That is what the Internet is like.
But I sort of thought that "Mumsnet" was a bit more serious than that.
Some of the comments (mainly from "Remainers", but not exclusively) are, frankly, bordering on the "hateful".
Perhaps the Mumsnet Moderators should restrict this kind of thread.

prettybird · 07/02/2019 23:25

Feel free to report any posts or threads that are not accurate and include personal attacks. Hmm

Well, welcome to MN. The viper den. Grin
Not suitable for snowflake Brexiters?

Thesuzle · 08/02/2019 00:27

The hell we are in has been created by the EU

"Is" "that" "so"?

AutumnCrow · 08/02/2019 01:12

"Aren't" "we" "awful"?

Not been here long then ? Brexit has its own topic area , but occasionally someone posts in another area because it is a subject that effects every man, woman and child in the UK. Up until recently the threads posted outside of the Brexit area have been reported and moved within hours. This one hasn't, possibly because MNHQ have been busy dealing with other issues ?

I am not sure that saying women should have their right to voice an opinion restricted will go down too well on here. I disagree wholeheartedly with the vast majority of what the more ardent Brexiteer types say and they with me, but I feel very strongly that we should both have the opportunity to express those opposing opinions.

ricepolo · 08/02/2019 06:31

Why is this all the EU’s fault Thesuzle? Because they won’t give us what we want when WE choose to leave?

Weird that.

frumpety · 08/02/2019 06:40

Robust talks are all the rage, ask Theresa Wink

careerchange456 · 08/02/2019 07:01

Scary's the worst kind of Brexiteer. Full of largely made up bile about the EU but quite happy to take up the 'perks' of FOM in order to live in Belgium. Not one to practice what she preaches.

frumpety · 08/02/2019 07:08

I was under the impression that Scary's DH was in the military, so possibly doesn't need to meet any FOM criteria anyway, might be wrong very often am

careerchange456 · 08/02/2019 07:15

Former military? But if you're an accompanying spouse and you take up employment in the country, you have to give up your diplomatic ID and apply for the standard resident ID so that you can work and pay tax in that country - hence why FOM can be useful...

I just get so pissed off seeing shite spouted by Brexiteers when you know they're not the average person who will be affected by this and they've done everything they can to protect themselves from the devastation this crazy ideology is going to inflict upon us all - looking at you Rees-Mogg.

malificent7 · 08/02/2019 07:20

I blame anyone who votes tory tbh. This is a logical conclusion to tory party policy.
Hell would be all eternity with Cameron, Rees Mogg, Farage et al.

LadyKalila · 08/02/2019 07:21

When children don't get their own way, they have a tantrum.

That's what adults who voted remain are doing.

It's pathetic.

malificent7 · 08/02/2019 07:21

Why don't people want to be united and have peace? Weird.

"Only a man" not keen on free speech for women?

Are opinionated women too scary for you special male snowflakes? Bless.

Lweji · 08/02/2019 07:30

When children don't get their own way, they have a tantrum.
That's what adults who voted remain are doing.

Or have "righteous anger" quoting Pulp Fiction.

I suppose everyone who fought against injustice, etc were throwing tantrums. Suffragettes were just throwing a tantrum at not getting their way, surely.

BiglyBadgers · 08/02/2019 07:31

You won. Get over it and go find us a brexit that isn't going to decimate our economy and destroy the Good Friday Agreement.

I never realised leavers were such a delicate flowers.

ZenNudist · 08/02/2019 07:33

I do agree but I think comments like this have not helped matters. Donald Tusk 's negotiation with David Cameron and the way that this is dealt with before the referendum even began was an absolute mess and I think he has responsibility for the way things have unfolded since. It's been a failure of democracy on both sides from start to finish.

Lweji · 08/02/2019 07:33

Brexiters not taking responsibility till the last breath. Always blame others.

Mistigri · 08/02/2019 07:34

I never realised leavers were such a delicate flowers.

They are mostly just lazy. Too lazy for facts or plans.

Planning and knowing stuff is boring shit that should be done by remainers, apparently.

GrinGrinGrinGrin That's made me laugh this morning.

Lweji · 08/02/2019 07:51

Can we get "moderators" Grin to ban posts saying MN is not nice and fluffy as they thought it was should be?

MissionItsPossible · 08/02/2019 07:57

I think the clock will run down to a No Deal and then they can get on with it. Or, less possibly, a ‘who will blink first’ scenario.
