To think this is so sad

Newborn baby found in a park last night, my heart breaks for both mother and baby.

I know I would not wanted to give birth alone (I presume mum was alone) and without pain relief and medical help.

Baby found abandoned in freezing East Ham park

@SmileEachDay you are justifying it

ILoveMaxiBondi · 01/02/2019 18:47

Not 30 mins later found by chance by a dog walker. Note: the dog walker found her after 30 mins

No! The baby was 30 minutes old! (Not sure if that’s 30 minutes old when found or 30 minutes old when assessed in hospital) They don’t know how long it was there. It may have been 30 seconds.

thatsmyspace · 01/02/2019 18:47

@Josico58 there's no point in trying to argue this. Apparently it's fine for women to dump there babies and we should all feel sorry for them. I just hope they don't have children themselves because abuse is fine if you have a bad life and have my issues then you can be excused for this kind of cruelty 🤷🏻‍♀️

SmileEachDay · 01/02/2019 18:49

Josie justifying what?

I would treat this mother with compassion. Why wouldn’t I?

PortiaCastis · 01/02/2019 18:49

You do not know any facts, nobody does at present so I'll not make any comment

JacquesHammer · 01/02/2019 18:49

Apparently it's fine for women to dump there babies and we should all feel sorry for them

Please do show me with a direct quote, any poster who has said what happened was fine.

I just hope they don't have children themselves because abuse is fine if you have a bad life and have my issues then you can be excused for this kind of cruelty

Again please share with quotes where people have said “abuse is fine”.

SmileEachDay · 01/02/2019 18:51

Ahhh you’ve over egged it there.

You’re totes on the wind up.

GerryblewuptheER · 01/02/2019 18:51

Oh god Sad

None of us know anything about the mother. She could be dead for all we know.

I envy those who's lives are so great they honestly can't fathom the multitude of reasons this could have happened that don't involve a cruise Hmm

I hope the baby is ok.

And I hope the mum is too.

And if she can't access health care or is being held against her will then if she dies of infection or pph then you can all be smug about some kind of justice being done.

Shall we wait for the truth befire we decide she's as good as a murderer....

That's disgusting, shame on you! How dare you say people with empathy for others shouldn't have children! How would you feel if others started saying you shouldn't have your five kids?

@JacquesHammer hang on have you not been fighting this "mothers" corner all day? Sympathising with the abuser of a baby?

JacquesHammer · 01/02/2019 18:53

hang on have you not been fighting this "mothers" corner all day? Sympathising with the abuser of a baby?

Have you told the police about your in-depth knowledge of the case?

Can you actually read? Or are you just totally thick?

thatsmyspace · 01/02/2019 18:55

@JacquesHammer I'm stating facts from the news! Your making up the possibilities of why a woman would do this.

brizzledrizzle · 01/02/2019 18:57

Of course it's not fine. It's not for a woman and baby to be in a situation where the mother feels like this is the only choice. I hope that the baby and mother are both OK and that both get the help they need. If the police can prove that she's evil and did it so she could go on the previously mentioned caribbean cruise then fine, if not then I'll carry on showing compassion for them both.

Josico58 · 01/02/2019 18:57

Agreed thatsmyspace I guess we’re the monsters for having sympathy for the baby when clearly the mother is the real victim here. Shame on us!

Jacques why do you need direct quotes? You and SmileEachDay keep on justifying the mother’s cruel behaviour with various scenarios/excuses and then saying “I didn’t say that, show me where I said that!” You are also very high & mighty on your opinions on morales and the law - telling anyone with a different viewpoint to you that they’re wrong

longwayoff · 01/02/2019 18:57

Thats, you should visit Thomas Corams's Foundling Hospital in London. Fortunately for many, he had the compassion you appear to lack.

JacquesHammer · 01/02/2019 18:57

Please stop @-ing me as requested earlier

I'm stating facts from the news!

Please do share a link to where it is stated the baby was abused

SummerGems · 01/02/2019 18:58

That wasn’t my understanding of tacos situation but I wasn’t about to be so arrogant as to tell her that her feelings about her mother were wrong. So I chose not to discus it with her. except you clearly are that arrogant because you just said it. And then you went on to blame her for not mentioning additional information in her first post. You should be ashamed of yourself. She was the victim here, and yet you are so desperate to defend the actions of a child abuser that you have dismissed someone who has been through the very same in order to justify your position.

This thread needs deleting now. It’s become far to personal with actual victim blaming etc.

JacquesHammer · 01/02/2019 18:59

You are also very high & mighty on your opinions on morales and the law - telling anyone with a different viewpoint to you that they’re wrong

You can’t have alternative definitions to words and the law. That’s not high and mighty, that’s fact.

Why do I need direct quotes? Because it’s worrying if someone is so thick they’ve read this thread and seen “abuse is fine”

Youknowmedontyou · 01/02/2019 18:59

@thatsmyspace I don't think you're stating facts from the news are you? Wasn't this a sun report? I really wouldn't give too much credence to that paper.

Klopptimist · 01/02/2019 18:59

Jacques, I think we can reasonably assume that someone who gets their information from the s*n is totally thick.

thats I'd think long and hard before deeming the person who left the infant to be "the abuser of a baby". Firstly, you are pissing all over the trauma that those who have well and truly been abused have suffered. Secondly, you have no idea of the facts. None of us do. What if this was an 11 year old girl who had been raped by her father? A teenager who was at risk of honour killing? Severely mentally ill?

BOTH lives are equally valid here, the baby AND the mother (if indeeed it was the mother who did this).

SmileEachDay · 01/02/2019 19:02

actual victim blaming etc

You don’t understand what victim blaming is, do you Summer?

Josico58 · 01/02/2019 19:03

JacquesHammer

Please do share a link to where it is stated the baby was abused

Christ, this is getting exhausting. First you want direct quotes, now a link. You seem to have an accountability issue. You don’t think that leaving a near naked newborn baby out in sub-minus temperatures is abuse? Please just stop, you are completely irrational and seem obsessed with proving proof of particular words used. Not everything has to be absolutely verbatim. Like I said before, you seem to have a real habit of strongly implying something then say “I didn’t say that”. It must be very difficult knowing you IRL.

JacquesHammer · 01/02/2019 19:06

First you want direct quotes, now a link

I’m going to use teeny tiny words to aid your lack of thinking.

It was suggested that posters ON THIS THREAD had stated “abuse was fine”. Having read the thread in its entirety, I’m not seeing those - so a quote would be great.

The same poster suggested they were sharing facts from the NEWS confirming the baby had been abused. I would like to see a link to this article full of insight.

Can I make it clearer?

NotACleverName · 01/02/2019 19:09

Literally nobody has said that abuse is fine if you’ve had a bad life, @thatsmyspace. Have you always been this thick and obtuse or did you have to work at it?

Showing compassion for someone who was more than likely in a desperate situation =/= condoning abuse.

Jesus H. Christ this is not that difficult 🙄

PortiaCastis · 01/02/2019 19:12

The actual facts are at present not known to anybody so stop speculating as the whys and wherefores are not available to the press or anyone else
