AIBU to think Mrs Hinch needs to get a life?

I recently started following Mrs Hinch on Instagram and she irritates me so much. I understand that she likes a clean home, who doesn't, but she really, really needs to get a life.
Cleaning is not, and should not ever be a hobby. Clearly she has a lack of personality if cleaning is a hobby.

I think what really pissed me off is how incredibly bad for the environment all those chemicals and plastic bottles are. It annoys me that so many people seem to enjoy her stuff and do as she does when she is pouring loads of chemicals sold in plastic bottles into the drain every year.

I bet there is already a thread on this very subject on her left somewhere but I'll admit I didn't look before I wrote this. I just needed to vent my annoyance.

You do realise this is an actual human being you are speaking about? With feelings. What a disgusting way to speak about somebody you don't know who hasn't murdered a kitten or a baby.

I'm neutral to Mrs Hinch to be honest, not one of her "die hard Hinchers" but to speak about another human being like that for no real reason is just bullying.

If you don't have anything nice to say then don't say anything at all could be your new life motto this week.

treaclesoda · 24/01/2019 19:20

So stop following her on Instagram Confused

CaptainKirksSpookyghost · 24/01/2019 19:21

Why are you following her?

greendale17 · 24/01/2019 19:22

I agree with you OP. She has zero talent and is followed by idiots

Livedandlearned · 24/01/2019 19:22

She has got a life, paid for by the Instagram posts and affiliates.

Lavende · 24/01/2019 19:23

She’s doing what she enjoys and earning a decent living through it. Made a pretty decent life for herself I think. I’m not a fan of all the products she uses myself but I can’t get worked up about how much someone else enjoys cleaning really.

MissionItsPossible · 24/01/2019 19:24

What a disgusting way to speak about somebody you don't know who hasn't murdered a kitten or a baby.

LMAO 😂

Eliza9917 · 24/01/2019 19:25

I'm not a huge fan of all the chemicals but she does it for her mental health. originally, now it's for the money

CoffeeTableBook · 24/01/2019 19:25

If you look closely you’ll see she takes a load of photos on one day and then uses them for a few months. I don’t think for a second she’s cleaning up a storm every day. I think she’s actually quite canny how she’s making it look like she is!

PixieCutRegret · 24/01/2019 19:25

Not keen on the amount of chemicals she promotes or the mixing of products.

That being said I think you are being really harsh. How does another woman enjoying cleaning affect you in any way? It's her life, and if cleaning is what makes her happy then so bloody what?

twattymctwatterson · 24/01/2019 19:26

There have been multiple threads obsessing over Mrs Hinch. It's really quite boring. If you're not interested in her you should probably stop following her Instagram as you really sound quite venomous

tellmewhenthespaceshiplands · 24/01/2019 19:26

I haven't a clue who this woman is but there are a shit tonne of threads popping up about her Smile

BrylcreamBeret · 24/01/2019 19:26

I don't see that she does anything spectacular with her life but nor do I dislike her. I'm not exactly on the fence because I think Instagram is for eejits. Maybe deregister and try yoga for your anger?

Popfan · 24/01/2019 19:26

Why on earth are you following someone you dislike???

tellmewhenthespaceshiplands · 24/01/2019 19:27

twatty x post sorry! Your username is brilliant btw, seriously confused my phones auto correct!

LadyHardy · 24/01/2019 19:28

I'm not quite sure how it's bullying to say that she needs to get a life and that her hobby is so boring that she can't have a personality. That's my opinion and in no way is it bullying, aggressive or offensive.

I have stopped following her. I only followed her for a short time to see what the fuss was about and I was truly disgusted at the amount of chemicals and plastic waste she must create. It's just not responsible in this day and age to behave like that. It's not necessary to use that many chemicals at all. Surely I can't be the only on to be disgusted by this? When I started following her I thought that she had good cleaning tips and advice but all I've seen of her is the whooping amount of different chemicals she uses. That's not good advice, that's just saying use this spray/cream and it will do exactly what it says on the packaging it will do. Oh and I have a different cleaner or cream for every single job in my home.

Good lord, I'm no fan of hers but people in the public eye (whether it's full-on celebrities or bloggers/SM peeps) get so many nasty comments it's unreal. Let her do what she likes, she's not inciting hatred against whole groups of society, or telling teenagers they need to be thinner to be worthwhile, she's just happy cleaning her house and other people are happy having a nosy at her posts about it. Just unfollow her.

LeopardPrintOwl · 24/01/2019 19:29

Don’t really understand why you’re so bothered about a total strangers hobbies.

treaclesoda · 24/01/2019 19:29

Is it just me that thinks it ironic that someone who takes time to start a thread about disliking someone is saying that the someone in question should get a life? Grin

Sassenach85 · 24/01/2019 19:29

Honestly op, my first thoughts reading post are that YOU need to get a life.

Seriously. Have you any idea how many annoying people are on Instagram. Doing and saying annoying shit. If this one bothers you .... don't follow her. Jesus.

NotACleverName · 24/01/2019 19:30

Why are you giving someone you don't even [allegedly] follow anymore headspace? That's just weird.

RJnomore1 · 24/01/2019 19:30

She's peddling an inane way to use up your time to other women. It's a bit pathetic really. I barely have time to do my own cleaning never mind watch someone else do theirs.

I've known two or three people all women with the same obsession over the years and they all had self esteem issues and poor mental health.

I guess whatever makes you happy but I hate the way it's being sold as a life goal.

Fairylea · 24/01/2019 19:31

You think saying someone doesn’t have a personality isn’t bullying? Hmm Okay then. Confused

anyideasonthis · 24/01/2019 19:31

Bet she lives in a shithole in real life! She's a brand... it's just marketing

Ragevibration · 24/01/2019 19:32

I'm not quite sure how it's bullying to say that she needs to get a life and that her hobby is so boring that she can't have a personality. That's my opinion and in no way is it bullying, aggressive or offensive.

Hahahahahaha you are joking?

If a colleague said those exact words to my face at work I would be putting in a bullying grievance immediately.

If a child at school was told by classmates she needed to get a life and she had no personality - that would be dealt with under the bullying process.

Not bullying Hmm
