The administration's plans acknowledge the possibility for lawsuits if they move forward with acquiring private property. The documents also reflect a sense of urgency with administration plans, noting that environmental reviews can be skipped and DHS can use waivers to bypass contracting laws.

So that's the hand tipped. The hog trough is opening for Scrotus and his buddies for fat govt contracts with little to no oversight. Perhaps this was the reason for the wall all along.

Gotta love it. My daughter reports from Houston that the three lead news stories on a local radio station (97.1) this morning were, in order: A “bobcat alert,” bobcat on the loose in a neighborhood; a wedding in a “Whataburger” (so far as can be determined that’s a world first) and-- number 3, the Rockets NBA team has defeated the woebegone NY Knicks.

The cable news channels and big-time newspaper’s are focused on Washington and Venezuela, but in a lot of the country news judgements differ. When a prowling bobcat in the suburbs trumps Trump, who’s to say the newshawks in Texas are wrong with their bobcat lead?

The official, Carl Kline, is a former Pentagon employee who was installed as director of the personnel security office in the Executive Office of the President in May 2017. Kushner's was one of at least 30 cases in which Kline overruled career security experts and approved a top secret clearance for incoming Trump officials despite unfavorable information, the two sources said. They said the number of rejections that were overruled was unprecedented — it had happened only once in the three years preceding Kline's arrival.
