Stub your toe. Stubbed little toe earlier on the table leg. Of course no shoes or slippers on to cushion the blow. Air very quickly turned blue Blush followed by toe turning a lovely shade of bluey/purple. Nice 9 hour shift later and it is bloody agony.

A baby refusing to let go of your hair.

Getting head butted in the face by a toddler

whyameyehere · 09/01/2019 00:12

pilonidal abscess, golfball sized abscess on the crack of your arse, I couldn't move

SneakyGremlins · 09/01/2019 00:12

Personally I think trapping your penis in the zip of your trousers.

GETTINGLIKEMYMOTHER · 09/01/2019 00:13

I stubbed a toe on a table leg and broke it. The toe, not the table leg. Was a major PITA, since I was going on holiday soon.

Moral, always wear shoes! And if not, don't jump up from the table in a hurry because dh is yelling something you can't hear from outside the front door. All his fault 😈

Jitters22 · 09/01/2019 00:13

Are you sure it's not broken?

I somehow stubbed my toe into the pipe along the bottom of the radiator once.

Only when I looked it wasn't just stubbed, the toe next to the little one was literally at right angles to the rest of my foot!

Went to A&E and they pushed it back into position - but that's it - no plaster, nothing else, it just has to heal on its own. Cue weeks of the most horrible throbbing pain - I used to get into bed at night and it felt like a rat was knawing on it. Also the only shoes I could wear for weeks after were these clumpy old Dr Marten's clogs.

That toe was the most painful thing I have ever experienced.

Banging head on garage door (because I'm too lazy to open it all the way and instead open it a bit then try and duck under)

Nipple piercing

Colonoscopy

It’s up there OP with: Split finger nail down to the nail bed; burnt hand/fingers; tooth ache; paper cuts; standing on a plug; biting the side of your mouth or tongue.

Ngaio2 · 09/01/2019 00:18

Running full pelt across the lawn in the dark in your slippers and stubbing your big toe on a hedgehog

SpoonBlender · 09/01/2019 00:19

Kidney stones was pretty bad. Fever and shaking.

Wisdom toothache. Having all four taken out at once - first couple of days were fine, then the drugs wore off.

Splinter in the cornea from a rotary saw. That smarted, I can tell you. Yes, I was wearing eye protection - I can only assume it got in through an air hole!

Nottheduchessofcambridge · 09/01/2019 00:21

Biting the ulcer on the inside of your mouth.
Also bending a false nail back that’s firmly attatched to your own nail.

Greensleeves · 09/01/2019 00:25

I raise you: manual removal of placenta, after 24 hours labouring on my back with severe SPD (5 months in a wheelchair and 6 weeks bedridden with pre-eclamsia and gestational diabetes) and a third degree tear

Mind you, that pales into insignificance next to the exquisite agony of trying to get MN to understand that some people Really Can't Afford £15 for a school trip, even if they save up all their pennies Hmm

RomanticFatigue · 09/01/2019 00:26

Waking up at 4am and finding out my tonsillitis had turned into quinsy. I walked into a conversation once where someone was saying "worse pain I've ever had". I hadn't heard the first part of the conversation and just said "quinsy?" He nodded.

Calvinsmam · 09/01/2019 00:27

Oh my god I’d blocked it out!

Abscess on the nerve of my tooth.

sweeneytoddsrazor · 09/01/2019 00:28

@jitters22 it might well be broken its very swollen and bruised and i cant bend it or rather cant curl it with the rest of my toes. It isnt at an odd angle though so nothing can be done for it.

Scuffing my bare upper arm on the door frame. It takes a layer of skin off! I do it regularly when wearing T-shirts, but curiously never when wearing long sleeves!

Jenasaurus · 09/01/2019 00:30

Having abdominal surgery when the anaesthetic fails

My niece had this and I remember how awful it was. She had to go into hospital and she filled up bowls with saliva Confused because it was too painful to swallow so it would build up in her mouth and the only way she could get rid of it was to spit it out.

Grim!

CleopatrasMum · 09/01/2019 00:33

Worst pain I have ever seen, which still makes me cringe when I think about it, was my brother, jumping up and down on a pallet to smash it into firewood on a campsite. Just as we all saw the upturned bolt, he came down on top of it. Straight through the sole of his trainer and punched a hole in the bottom of his foot. He turned ghostly white.

goingtotown · 09/01/2019 00:36

Labour pains were a breeze after having Gallstone pain.

This is my worst fear!! This and being jailed for a crime I didn’t commit.
That and realising that I’ve actually killed someone and had just forgotten about it.

I hope you’re ok! Did you need counselling?

Seeingadistance · 09/01/2019 00:39

Dry socket after getting a wisdom tooth extracted.

Saltandsauce · 09/01/2019 00:41

Oh my god the dancing one 🤢 these are turning my stomach!!
Nowt worse than a double ear infection and an abscess in your tooth at the same bloody time! Was horrendous!!

Bambamber · 09/01/2019 00:43

Getting an exfoliating bead stuck under your eyelid, so everytime you blink it scratches your eye

delboysskinandblister · 09/01/2019 00:45

standing barefoot on a drawing pin as a child. They were always in the dining room for some reason??

DoctorDread · 09/01/2019 00:47

Try having a neohrostomy while you're 6 months pregnant. With no anaesthetic.
