Not goady NC. If I posted as 'me' i'd get ignored. just if you post on threads of established cliques you get ignored - not name mentioned as it's not a TAAT - and on others people just say their bit and don't read others.

Where are the cliques? I often post and everyone sails straight past my reply and ignores it, or else people tell me I'm wrong. That's just life, particularly on the internet.

Most people NC regularly (I did this morning), so how would anyone know who was who in the so-called clique anyway?

If people ignore you on here then why does it matter if we know your usual user name? You could simply name change again once we know.

It's so much better than it used to be, thanks to the constant name changes! No more of these "MN royalty" nonsense some posters like to believe in . There still are a few people who take that forum far too seriously and believe they hold the "rules" that only exist in their little heads, but overall, it's an anonymous forum.

Why would you be ignored? As said, there is 16 million users on here. If you post something worthy of comment someone will comment. If you post something that's not, no one will. It's not personal. It's not about you.

I randomly say something really sarcastic or silly and get caught.

If I say something sensible I randomly get a poster who has a reading comprehension problem having a go. If I have time I engage in a bit of a bun fight.

i get ignored on threads i try to join threads which are groups or regulars and ignored but am paranoid cos i am invisible in real life.

I think it takes a certain level of paranoia to think people are ignoring you on an anonymous Internet forum

Hmmmm, I think it used to be like that a little bit, with people greeting people they knew on the thread and point blank ignoring others. But I think that has changed hugely, especially over the last 18 months. At least on general threads anyway.

I suppose on some long running threads you may find that a little bit, but not to the same degree as in the past.

I think the whole MN Royalty bollocks, with some posters always turning up, desperate to be seen as Royalty, has pretty much gone. Thank fuck.
