pedrapapeletesoura.wordpress.com/2017/09/14/map-starting-guide/

A growing number of MAP (minor attracted people) accounts are forming a network on Twitter. There is a push to normalise and legitimise being sexually attracted to children. The “guide” I have linked is chilling, as are the accounts with MAP tags - they often have AOA in their bio...their “age of attraction”. So AOA 6mnths-4 years is a sexual attraction to children of that age.

Twitter is a huge business, with enormous power - they could, if they chose, take a stand against this.

Without conflating trans and paedophilic groups I think the latter feel they might get a more sympathetic hearing from activists working to widen LGBT definitions to include different kinds of paraphilias and be non-judgemental and inclusive. They’re trying to jump onto the persecuted minority/fighting for equality bandwagon .
Perhaps because they see TRAs saying that children should be able to access medical treatments or procedures to help transition, thus if they can consent to those then they can also consent to sexual activity with adults.

Midnight21 · 05/01/2019 13:37

One of the acronyms / # being used by them is LGBTN
They seem to already be trying to attach to or come under the umbrella of LGBT people

RIght, OP has come out of hiding. This isn't an anti-paedophile thread, this is an anti-trans thread.

Many paedophiles are straight. Many are accountants, many are tennis players. OP hasn't brought any of them into it. Her agenda is clear.

And I say that as someone who's concerned about the trans lobby.

NothingOnTellyAgain · 05/01/2019 15:55

"Historically there has been some crossover. It has not been particularly unusual for gay men to groom teenagers even if there is no physical relationship."

You're right men (usually men rather than women) have long been interested in grooming young poeple and children. This is hardly peculiar to the gay community.

"The England section on en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pederasty is very illuminating and says public schools were a hotbed of this behaviour even up till the 70s."

Yes, men (and it is usually men) have always fancied young people / children, and some have committed sexual abuse. Well, a lot of sexual abuse. Boarding schools have been popular with men wanting access to children, as have care homes, oppostunities like sports coach etc

I'm not sure what your point is?

NothingOnTellyAgain · 05/01/2019 15:58

Paedophile groups have seen opportunity in the widening of the "queer" umbrella, first inclusion of T then inclusion of "kinky" people...
And that the prevailing approach in the media, politics etc is "acceptance without exception" and that gives them a head start.

They have seen a crack in the door and are pushing.

PIE all over again.

NothingOnTellyAgain · 05/01/2019 16:00

The reason inclusion of T was the start as

It's not a sexuality
"Kinky" people are explicitly included (cross-dressers)

That moved it away from the LG and B into something else.

Then the kinksters got on board and "hey we're all queer" and opportunity was clear.

The expression MAP is vile and is an attempt to legitimise the behaviour in my opinion OP, a bit like referring to Child Pornography and not Sexual Exploitation and Abuse images of children. I can't believe this isn't stopped. I'm guessing it's monitored by the police though? Hope so anyway.

Mrskeats · 05/01/2019 16:18

They want to be added to the whole lgbt thing. Check Twitter if you don’t believe this.

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 05/01/2019 16:22

Report report report. That’s what I do. I wish twitter had a ‘this is illegal/criminal’ as a complain option or a free text box where you could outline the issue and ask them to take action.

Spot on

GlitterStick · 05/01/2019 16:41

Well bloody said @DitaVonPeas

SmileEachDay · 05/01/2019 16:44

They have seen a crack in the door and are pushing

Yep. Absolutely.

My “agenda” is to shout very, very loudly about this to people who are not on Twitter. It’s a multi national mainstream platform; everyone should be aware of their stance on this.

These sick bastards are out in the open. Can we focus on shutting them down.

Penguincake · 05/01/2019 16:46

We need to get the press to cover the facts that Peadophiles are openly meeting and organising on Twitter.

GlitterStick · 05/01/2019 17:13

OP loud and clear with the subsequent posts.
It wasn't about Twitter at all, was it?
Jesus. We all know what you're getting at.
I'm with @DitaVonPeas on this one.

Penguincake · 05/01/2019 17:16

Could TRAs piss off and stop trying to derail a thread about stopping peadophiles.

SmileEachDay · 05/01/2019 17:17

It is absolutely about Twitter, Glitter.

But if you’re happy to shut the debate down for yourself by thinking I’m transphobic that’s your choice. 🤷🏻‍♀️

FithColumnist · 05/01/2019 17:19

I would assume it’s because they’ve all been kicked off Tumblr.

(The racists and white power lot haven’t been, but because of a few paedophiles Tumblr has essentially banned all NSFW content.)

Fattymcfaterson · 05/01/2019 17:20

Well... I read the blog linked, and am slightly dissapointed that nobody seems to want to discuss it? They'd rather bang on about trans bullshit.... Again.

For the people who have read it.... A few of the things written stood out to me, the use of manga in japan as a "stand in" for real child pornography. This interests me, as these pedophiles aren't going anywhere and anything that can be done to stop children being abused should be looked into.

They lost me when they said that the child rapists we see in the news aren't actually pedophiles 😂 😂 😂 😂

And this paragraph

That means that having romantic or sexual affairs with minors is not always illegal, depending on your context. If you were born in the right place, at the right time, your attraction would be tolerated, accepted or even cherished. It is not like they are sick; they were just born in the wrong culture. Putting things in this perspective, if you feel bad for having urges to do illegal things, despite the fact that many of us have feelings of that nature, you could consider moving to a place where the age of consent is lower or inexistent

We need to campaign worldwide for consent aged to be highered. So no one can justify their sick behaviour

SmileEachDay · 05/01/2019 17:26

Fatty - yeah that “born in the wrong culture” bit stuck out to me also.

The Japanese manga thing - interesting piece in the Japanese press re child abuse increasing:

www.japantimes.co.jp/news/2017/09/21/national/social-issues/reported-child-abuse-japan-exceeds-30000-cases-first-half/#.XDDoaKSnzYU

OP posts:
Fattymcfaterson · 05/01/2019 17:35

That headline is very misleading, as child abuse covers a range of misdeeds against children.

97 of the 30000 were reported because of sexual abuse.

Fattymcfaterson · 05/01/2019 17:36

It was unclear from the article what specific elements of child abuse were increasing, whether it be neglect, physical or sexual abuse.
Also it would be interesting to have a proper study to take into account other factors fuch as raised awareness etc.
