am I a slob for not to have cleaned the toilet since Xmas eve?

Am i a slob? I've not cleaned the one and only toilet here since Xmas eve. We had 7 people here for Xmas dinner and 18 people round yesterday for boxing day so that toilet has seen a lot of action is guess. Just wondering where I am on the slob scale? Grin I will clean it before bedtime tonight though.

Slob no?

Boring? Yes

PristineCondition · 27/12/2018 22:47

This is mumsnet. You must clean the throne every hour in the hour using zoflora and unicorn skin scouring pads you dirty bastard

victoriaspongecake · 27/12/2018 22:47

Yes. It takes less than five minutes to thoroughly clean a toilet.
Especially when so many people have used it.
However its your toilet and if you are happy with it then its none if our business!!

GrandmaSteglitszch · 27/12/2018 22:49

Hmm, a bit slobby. Do you have a partner? If so, does he/she think about cleaning the toilet at all?

The colourless Bloo blocks, that you put in the cistern, are really good to help the toilet not get too manky.

Maryann1975 · 27/12/2018 22:49

I’m more of a slob. We have two toilets and neither have been cleaned since last Friday. And I don’t care either.

Sparklingbrook · 27/12/2018 22:49

Was it particularly dirty? Maybe you have very considerate guests who clean up after themselves?

YankeeCandlePong · 27/12/2018 22:52

According to the wisdom of Mumsnet you should have squirted bleach down the loo after every erm ... deposit. And changed the towel hourly.

redfruitgum · 27/12/2018 22:52

It has a cistern block in it that is still foaming to perhaps gave me a bluff that it is cleaner than it probably is.

Christ I must be a complete skank! Do people really worry about this?!

Evidencebased · 27/12/2018 22:52

18 civilised guests=fine
1 teenage son like mine= not fine

I blame poor parenting

redfruitgum · 27/12/2018 22:53

And God no dh has never once picked up the bleach bottle that I ever know of.

These threads always make me feel like I’m living in some sort of parallel universe. It’s only been a couple of days! don’t get me started on threads about washing towels and bedding every 5 minutes

SweetPeaPods · 27/12/2018 22:55

I wouldn’t say so OP, no. I’m sure you have had better things to do than clean the toilet! I have a cleaner once a week. Should I be cleaning the toilets in between??

redfruitgum · 27/12/2018 22:56

I'm not worried. Just wondered if it made me a mumsnet slob or if I'm on par with everyone else Grin

Christmas Eve was Monday! So .... no.

redfruitgum · 27/12/2018 23:11

Meh so I'm in company then. OK. Yeah we've been out all day today. Boxing day I was a lil hungover and slept in and just about got the food prepared in time for the first knock at the door from the guests so I didn't have time.

Jellybabie3 · 27/12/2018 23:13

Hmm I think you will live!

Aquamarine1029 · 27/12/2018 23:14

It takes literally less then 3 minutes to clean a toilet. After all that use it should have been clean at the end of the day.

MrsTommyBanks · 27/12/2018 23:15

I've cleaned nothing, except the kitchen floor where my dog (with dementia) did a wee.

lazylumpylou · 27/12/2018 23:15

Nope. Not cleaned any of mine since last Friday. It’s only Thursday, right?

Ollivander84 · 27/12/2018 23:18

Is it dirty and visibly in need of cleaning? Then no, not a slob

Sparklesocks · 27/12/2018 23:22

I wouldn’t worry what other people might think, just clean at your own pace/standards. Even if you clean everyday there will still be a handful of posters who scold you for not doing more.

lynnepot · 27/12/2018 23:25

25 people some perhaps using it multiple times. That's not your general family of 3 or 4 people toilet that has gone a few days without a clean. It's seem a lot of traffic. I would never call someone a slob however. Don't forget to do the flush handle.

Faster · 27/12/2018 23:27

I don’t understand why people need toilets to be so clean? You don’t touch the bit when the dirt goes and it’s only your arse cheeks that touch where other people arse cheeks have been?

redfruitgum · 27/12/2018 23:29

No skid marks no so it's not visibly a state, a couple of empty loo rolls on the window cill at last glance however though.
