When are we taking our Xmas decs down ?

Am itching to pack it all away - is tomorrow too soon ?

Don’t undertand these “can’t wait for things to get back to normal” types. Would you really rather be at work than off having fun or even doing nothing?

Christmas is the only time we all as a family have time off together and are all in the same place at the same time. I don’t sulk like an adult baby when it’s over or anything but I certainly don’t rejoice when it’s all over and back to normality.

.........Aaaand, they are down ! Away from NYE for a couple of days and didn’t want to come back to the Ghost Of Christmas Extremely Recent Past. Nice time packing them away, giving the bookshelves their annual proper dust and sort whilst up the ladder, found room for the new minor Xmas gifts by starting a new charity bag for the old ones. The extra leaf in the dining room table has been taken out, spare chairs resited.

It’s a nice feeling of a new start to an( almost ) New Year .

Twelfth day of Christmas - 6th January.

Took mine down a few days ago. The cat kept pulling them down anyway.

Ours came down on the evening of the 29th.

Tomorrow and I can’t wait.

Still watering the tree here. It's drinking an awful lot.

All done here, kitchen and lounge have had a thorough clean through and feels much nicer now! Will do DC rooms once they’re back at school, and ours, which is vile but I keep ignoring

All down here, all the christmas stuff back in the loft.

Feels good. Tidy and peaceful.

Ours are down, trees already gone to the dump and the house looks big and clean.

We’ll be taking them down at the weekend. Used to take them down on New Year’s Day but feel I want to leave them up longer these days.

I came back from the cinema, with Ds, yesterday and Dh had taken them all down....

Not yet. When are you supposed to?

I took them down a couple of days ago. It is nice to have the space in my living room back.

We don't have them up for massively long. The DDs decorate the tree on the first weekend of the school and college Christmas holidays. They are up for about a week or so. Down by New Year.

Probably next weekend. We will have one more xmassy weekend I think...

Then following week take them down.

Mine are coming down on 5th Jan. it is close to 12th night and I'm busy all day Sunday.

Ours are down tomorrow as birthday girl likes them down before her day.

We are taking it down on Sunday, it’s DS birthday on Saturday and he loves lights so we always leave them up for his birthday. 😊

I was a New Year Butterfly briefly, but I'm back to normal now BB.

It's our DS' birthday on Saturday too, sophisticatedsarcasm! So the lights stay up until then too :-)

I took mine down on the 29th Dec, I would've taken them down on the 27th or 28th had I had time, once Boxing Day has gone I just want to get all of the Christmas clutter out of the way.

My inside ones came down today, the outside ones will probably come down tomorrow.

I take mine down on Boxing Day or the following day at the latest.
