To think I can have sex before period without getting pregnant.

I usually use condoms but around 2 days before my period I allow my partner to ejaculate inside me. He looks forward to this each month lol so I allow it as a treat.

I don’t want anymore children. I have been doing this for the past 2 years and seems to have worked so far.
I don’t do this anywhere near ovulation. Am I being risky?

I track my cycles and can always tell confidently when ovulation is occurring- always exactly the same window every month, sharp uncomfortable period-type pains and a very distinct change in CM. I think with a bit of effort women can become very in-tune with their cycle and know if they’re fertile or not.

That said if I really didn’t want another pregnancy then I would go on some long term contraception to be extra safe

HidingFromMyKids · 24/12/2018 14:02

I'm currently pregnant and my dates are two weeks different to what the LMP date was.
You are playing with fire.

Courts1988 · 24/12/2018 14:06

Why not just get a tubal ligation. You don’t want anymore kids and he can ejaculate inside you all the time inside of a treat 😂😂

ichifanny · 24/12/2018 14:09

I thought it would be ok too OP but unless you track ovulation please don’t
We did this last December I’m not holding my nearly 4 month old .
Turned out I ovulated later .

ichifanny · 24/12/2018 14:11

And i also have periods like clockwork , god knows what happened .

PickledChutney · 24/12/2018 14:13

This has got to be a joke!! You’re hilarious!!

whatswithtodaytoday · 24/12/2018 14:13

I'm currently pregnant and I've no idea how, as my dates suggest I got pregnant right after my period. I get very clear ovulation signs and know when I ovulated that month. Also, I exist because my mum used the rhythm method. So yeah... don't rely on it.

If you’re going to ban any discussion of any subject that any man has ever found titillating then you’d have to delete all of TTC, breastfeeding, potty training, and large chunks of S&B.

(Although clearly there are some weird threads started by notorious hairy handed trolls that do need deletion)

pizzaa · 24/12/2018 15:13

@whatswithtodaytoday

Same when I got pregnant with my daughter! The dates added up that I conceived on the 7th December 2016 and the first day of my period was the 1st December!

mothertruck3r · 24/12/2018 15:15

Buy ovulation sticks from Poundland, keep a track of your period and remember that sperm can stay alive inside the body for something like 5 days to a week!

Craft1905 · 24/12/2018 15:21

YOU WILL GET PREGNANT IF YOU DON"T USE CONTRACEPTION. SIMPLES.

Oh god I hope not. We're both in out 60s and I really don't think we could cope with another baby now.

RedPanda2 · 24/12/2018 15:22

I hope this is a troll post. Ejaculating inside you as a 'treat'??? Grim as fuck. If you don't like chemicals in your body I've got news for you, spunk is a chemical! You'll be in here in a few months talking about your unplanned baby and that you have no idea what happened...

DareIAdmit · 24/12/2018 15:22

If you don't want to use hormones and you're done with children either of you getting the snip would be far safer

Munchyseeds · 24/12/2018 15:31

Crack on with his 'treat' as long as you are happy with the thought that you MIGHT get pregnant....

alfiesmam · 24/12/2018 15:33

Woukd you meet him half way and swallow Grin

NotANotMan · 24/12/2018 15:40

Erm...why is that 'grim as fuck'? It's fun. Most men love it and lots of women do too. What's your issue? Why should the OP be a troll for asking about contraception and referencing her sex life? Grow up.

Confusedbeetle · 24/12/2018 15:43

Far too risky. Do it if you dont mind getting pregnant

itsbetterthanabox · 24/12/2018 15:45

So gross.

It's weird a 'treat' for him is something that risks your bodily autonomy and life.
What treats do you get that cause the same risk to him?
It's so sad that men see their own sexual pleasure as outweighing ANYTHING else.
He gets an orgasm either way- why does he have to risk your body to enjoy it?

Elphie54 · 24/12/2018 15:50

“So gross”

Having your partner ejaculate inside of you is gross? Hmm

BumDisease · 24/12/2018 16:35

"“So gross”

No but considering it a "treat" for being a good boy is. Just use contraception and you can have your "treat" whenever you want.

GerdaLovesLiIi · 24/12/2018 17:53

Well, I did mean if you are both fertile... but you never know! Xmas Grin

Who said it was a treat for being a good boy? I love condom free sex and consider it a 'treat' as in something I don't generally do but sometimes do if it's worth the risk.

thecatsarecrazy · 24/12/2018 18:28

I used to think the day after my period was safe. Turns out it's not.

BumDisease · 24/12/2018 18:56

Condoms aren't the only kind of contraception.
