to ask if you had sex on your wedding night?

Getting married in the near future, and I'm already pretty certain there will be no shagging on the wedding night. Sex is quite infrequent anyway (but this suits us), and after a long day I know we will both be too tired.

Until a coversation today, I thought it was normal to not consummate marriage on the actual wedding night. A few friends have said it is extremely odd to not, and is something you have to do on your wedding day for 'tradition'.

I am no virgin, so I don't see the big deal. I would prefer a cuppa and Dairy Milk.

We sneaked away and did before the evening reception. We went to bed at 7 and did then too. I didn't think we would at all either before it.

No. Didn't get to bed until 4am, and had DC unexpectedly bed down in our room so it wasn't the right time. Had a lovely cuddle and chat and made up for it the next day.

Have a great sex life so I don't think we cursed ourselves by not consummating our marriage on the wedding night!

I think we tried but it was a non event due to alcohol consumption. Definitely the morning after though!

I couldn't wait to get to bed on my wedding night.....to sleep.

I was 12 weeks pregnant and still at the very tired stage. We had been living together for over 10 years at this point, together for almost 14 years. Small wedding with 2 witnesses and their partners and a meal after.

Can't actually remember when we actually consumated the marriage, I was that that knackered it could have been weeks later!!!!.

Aware this is considered quaint these days, but my wedding night was the first time I'd had sex with anyone and the first time my husband and I spent the night together. I made him carry me over the door step to the fancy hotel room and everything hehe!

No. Took 2 years to consumate the marriage and that was the only time it happened. We split up after 4 years...

No, nor for the whole honeymoon. DH had had to be circumcised for medical reasons and was hors de combat for the duration. :o

Nope. Ex husband is possibly asexual, there was hardly any nooky, but also it had been a very hot and sunny day and I was sick at about half ten and we went to bed.

Nope, too exhausted. I fondly remember him helping me out my dress though as I just contemplated sleeping in it as I was too exhausted to figure out how to take it off. We did the next morning and then opened our gifts/cards

We didn't, it was late and we were both tired. Went on honeymoon the next day and made up for it then!

Well given that I was leading a conga at 4am around the hotel grounds no, we didn't have sex.
By the time I'd gone to sleep at 6am my family were waking us for breakfast 🤢🤢🤢

I spent half the next day cuddling the toilet bowl as I'd forgotten to eat anything at all at my wedding so it wasn't until two days later that we went on honeymoon that we did the sex

We did, we got married abroad, ceremony was lunchtime then the wedding breakfast, reception etc until about midnight, then some of us got changed and went out to a show/club with acrobats, singers etc from about 1:30am until the next morning, we managed to squeeze in some alone time between the reception and the outing and when we got back in the morning...
