to ask if you had sex on your wedding night?

Getting married in the near future, and I'm already pretty certain there will be no shagging on the wedding night. Sex is quite infrequent anyway (but this suits us), and after a long day I know we will both be too tired.

Until a coversation today, I thought it was normal to not consummate marriage on the actual wedding night. A few friends have said it is extremely odd to not, and is something you have to do on your wedding day for 'tradition'.

I am no virgin, so I don't see the big deal. I would prefer a cuppa and Dairy Milk.

Nope , we had a three year old between us in our very expensive wedding suite.
It meant nothing though, we have a great sex life 20 years in.

Nope. We got to bed at 3am and had to be up at 5.30am to go to the airport for our honeymoon.

Yep! First child free night in years, fancy underwear (mine, not his) and a beautiful hotel. Damn right! Most people I know didn’t, most are exhausted.

Nope, we had rented a large cottage for the week and both sets of parents and my siblings and best friend were all in the other bedrooms, so it wasn't a sexy atmosphere! Anyway we were exhausted.

No I was pissed and ended up with a blinding headache..... too much champagne and he was puking in the bathroom.....we did it in the morning instead

We got to the hotel, had a quickie, went down for dinner (NOT a euphemism!), went back to room and DH fell asleep instantly while I watched the Eurovision song contest.

Yes, twice, dh is still proud of that! But then it’s been a long time since we had sex twice in a day (ok week)!

Like a previous poster, excitement, love, beautiful hotel room, complete with strawberries and champagne on ice. It was lovely, we were both exhausted but also high on life! It was very loving. A beautiful memory.

We had a huuuuge argument so definitely no sex that night. Unsurprisingly 8yrs later we divorced!

Another one whose hubby was fast asleep while I was still taking my hairgrips out!
We had an all day open house party at our home the day after, guests at the house all weekend and flew to Asia for our honeymoon on the Monday ( married on a Thursday) . So I think it was the Wednesday after we got slightly over jet lag.
But it was worth waiting for!!

I don't think so with the second. He broke his ribs three weeks before the wedding at a stupid work team building thing, and was in a lot of pain on the day. We might have had a bit of a go in the morning but not very convincing both wanted to go for the hotel breakfast
