to ask if you had sex on your wedding night?

Getting married in the near future, and I'm already pretty certain there will be no shagging on the wedding night. Sex is quite infrequent anyway (but this suits us), and after a long day I know we will both be too tired.

Until a coversation today, I thought it was normal to not consummate marriage on the actual wedding night. A few friends have said it is extremely odd to not, and is something you have to do on your wedding day for 'tradition'.

I am no virgin, so I don't see the big deal. I would prefer a cuppa and Dairy Milk.

My now exDH had proposed we play "too Drunk to Fuck" by the Dead Kennedys as out first dance. I vetoed that due to the presence of various Grandmas and we didn't have a first dance anyway but he wasn't wrong. He was indeed too Drunk to Fuck. We managed it the next night on honeymoon but unfortunately he remained Too Drunk To Do Anything and I divorced him 5 years later.

No. We were dancing till 2am and DH then needed to ferry people back to the other hotel. I was six months pregnant and he didn’t get back till nearly four and we couldn’t be bothered.

Can’t actually remember when we consummated the marriage.

Anyone else been put off ever using a jacuzzi after reading this thread?
