Work in a high pased office enviorment. We have had a change of managment in the last few months. She was promoted from our sector and has gone.. as you could say power mad. Shortning and increasing targets... changing deadlines etc. And generally being rude and obnoxious to everyone. Ive kept quiet and just got on. (Like to go to work do my job go home) well this morning i recieve a text from her stating. ' i know your pregnant you need to stop keeping it a secret and confirm it. Im gobsmaked for one im not... but this seems such an unprofesinal manner to do things. Im yet to reply aibu to egnore it ? Wwyd? How would you reply should i reply.?

Glad you've reported it. I had a manager like this once, had a reputation for being power mad and changing the goal posts on targets. Insisted on taking our mobile numbers 'in case of emergencies' but was always texting unprofessional nonsense to me out of work, normally involving the phrase 'hunny bun' yuck!

The final straw came when I was on the late shift and had plans to meet a friend for drink, so styled my hair before work so I could save time later on. I'm quiet person who likes to keep my head down and just get on with my work. She kept making comments about how so and so from such and such department couldn't stop looking at me and how I should go and flirt with them to get more sales leads. I found it incredibly creepy and handed in my notice the following week. I do regret not making a complaint about her before leaving though as I had a few people come forward offering to be witnesses to her inappropriate behaviour.

@CuriousaboutSamphire I was just asking for an update? Abruptness wasn't intended and I wasn't expecting her to write one right away. Sorry to have offended you

I had something similar to this OP but I was only 18 and working in a small place, it was a travel agents, and I couldn’t face seeing my manager again so I just left 😩

Hope you get things sorted.

Right all reported. Been advised not mention it to her or other staff. We break up tomorrow so i dont expect to see results till the new year.

It seemed to be taken seriously so hopefully at the least re-training nd a lesson well learned for her.

For those who didn't RTFT and are asking for updates, the above was posted on the 20th of December.
